Ah mate, are u new to growing? When starting out I understand buying cheap equipment heck cheap tents are just as good as real n same applies to bulbs but when you want an accurate reading top notch gear is the was to go like I use to use a hanna pen but eventually reluctantly changed to bluelab and its a fantastic pen.
I got a 200+ par meter for testing my cob lights in comparison to name brands but again these tools are for more experienced growers.once you get your environment down then u can start tweaking certain bits n bobs

I thought par meters didn't work for led lights?

Why would you come to that conclusion? Par stands for photosynthetical active radiation (what the plant wants) so no offence but I cant find any logic in your statement so pls quote me some papers and not some bellend on a thread spewing garbage
