Under Canopy Lighting

Im 22 days into flowering with my girls and have been coming across difficulties trying to provide light for some lower bud sights. I have 4 ladies that were vegged for 4 weeks and are getting very bushy under my 400w vero29 v7 cobs. I've done some defoliating right before switching to flowering but they're complete bushes again. I'm planning on adding some led lights under the canopy such as some corn leds I came across on amazon to help the buds below the canopy. Do you think I'd be ok defoliating them again or purchasing some additional lighting? Any input on corn led bulbs or any other lighting to use below the canopy would be great!

Maybe it's easier and cheaper to just lollipop between week 2 and 3 of flowering.
I primarily have one plant that's throwing off a ton of lower bids regardless of my lolipopping and defoliating earlier on somehow. I'd really like to make sure they get enough light but hear so much controversy over defoliating so I thought I'd just add some extra light

if they aren't getting good light pick those bud sites off or harvest in two stages
When harvesting in two stages, how long is the time between the first and second harvest? Not sure if that is a pretty broad question. Do you think additional lighting below the canopy can help me avoid that longer flowering period? I'm tight on time and don't think I'll be able to go much further than what I already have planned out

At three weeks I go in and remove the lower branches that won't reach up into the canopy, and I strip the baby bud sites that are down low as well. I try to create a "bud zone" no more than about 8-10 inches deep from the top of the canopy. I don't trim in veg., I wait until after the stretch.

Excellent, this is exactly what I wanted to see. I'll give them another trim and clear out the bottom growth while it's still young. I'll see if I can't create a nice "bud zone" like you shoot for too, seems like a pretty good idea

I also trim large fan leaves up high that are shading the lower stuff too much,

i am not exactly sure how long in between. i am doing about a week. i have heard if you shorten the lights on cycle it can help speed up the process. not sure if it really works but may be worth a try. like 8-10hours on. i am running 10 hours on 14 off.
