Any recommendations with things found at home depot ? Or amazon. Also when taking it out of the box, got charcoal on the floor, is that normal? Thanks
Yep charcoal dust is normal but do check it for rips in the perforated metal. I had one turn up that looked like a javelin had gone through it.Any recommendations with things found at home depot ? Or amazon. Also when taking it out of the box, got charcoal on the floor, is that normal? Thanks
Thanks just had a change of plans. I by mistake didn't by an inline filter as I was planning on connecting the hyper fan directly to the carbon filter and then connecting flexible ducting and running it into the attic to exhaust the air into another space. I bought a one way filter by mistake so I am now going to connect my 8 inch fan inside the tent, then connect the ductwork to that. I am then going to run my duct into the attic where my carbon filter will be sitting. The air from the filter will then fill the attic space and there I have it. For now I plan on passive air intake of which I hope will be sufficient (no intake fan or filter). 5x9 tent, Hlg550 LEDs x2Yep charcoal dust is normal but do check it for rips in the perforated metal. Use chain to hang it. Strong zip ties between loops on chain if you need to tighten it up a bit. I'm sure there's other ways, roof rack ratchet straps?.. Anything strong.
I have never heard of a one way filter. Have you got a link to it?Thanks just had a change of plans. But yeah passive will work fine. It does for my 8" fan in 4x8.
Cool, cheers for the link. That is a standard filter, like mine, you can, if you want have it in your tent and suck through it blowing air into attic or do what you said and push through it with it been in your attic. Personally I like to suck through mine and blow it straight into a chimney.Awesome, here is the link to the phresh filter i have that i was planning on ducting from the other end out of the tent. I bought it from the local hydro store: https://www.zenhydro.com/phresh-filter-8-in-x-24-in-750-cfm-12667.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwo4jOBRBmEiwABWNaMSbD7p4pPfowLVXJtbZLlt3EuY6TaTnBQbPWk2_HyI1jj-jeP3bCuhoCmcUQAvD_BwE
here is the link to an inline phresh filter, that would have allowed the ducting from the other end:

what does your passive intake look like? did you run any ducting with a bug screen or anything?
Carbon filter does not remove the moisture from the air. LED will still produce a watt of heat from a watt of electricity. Yes they run cooler than HID as your not heating a gas but they have fans and heat sinks etc for a reason. The attic has vents in it and there will be a carbon filter filtering the air which catches all potential mold spores etc. Also, I'm not sure how hot it will be since we are talking LED lighting which has no infrared heat. I've been reading about the mold possibility, but haven't found solid evidence as of yet.
