Slow transition to flower

I might just be worrying too much but my baby has been in 12/12 for two weeks now and isn't showing any flowers yet. I see some pistils at every node. I didn't plan for it to take so much time transitioning into flower so im running out of space. The strain is Amnesia Haze from Roayl Queen Seeds.

Is it normal? Is there anything i can do to speed up the transition?

Get more light on them. During the stretch they need more of everything to do their best including light.

The type of light is even more important than the intensity tho without intensity even the right spectrum won't get them kicking ass as they should.

From the leaves they look like they lean to the sativa side and will most likely take 4 weeks to get thru the stretch and settle into building colas. If so expect another 6 - 10 weeks before they are ripe.

As for more light i'm pretty much maxed out. I have 187 watts of citizen cobs at 4000k. I chose the 4000k cobs because i wanted to veg and flower with one light.
Intensity wise i should be good. The cobs are rated at 157l/W. 187*157=29000 lumens. My grow cabinet measures 55x55x190cm.

Have i made a mistake choosing 4000k cobs?

For such a small footprint it seems that you have more than enough light. I don't know squat about LED light but one of my 400W Super HPS lights puts out 55,000 lumens so maybe you need a little more.

I'm still of the mind that you are growing sativa dominant plants and they will take a lot longer to set flowers and start producing buds/colas than an indica dominant strain. The colas tend to be a lot longer and slimmer to fit the stretch but the high can be damn near hallucinogenic compared to the dead-head couch lock of a heavy indica.

Keep track of a couple tops growth and once it stops that indicates the end of stretch and can help calculate total flower time with the simple info that total flowering time is 40% stretch and 60% fattening up. With a 4 week stretch expect another 6 weeks or a bit more to crop time. My favorite sativa cross takes 12 - 14 weeks to finish but well worth the wait. Easier to wait when you have lots of previous grows left over to keep the buzz on.

4 weeks of stretch! I have seriously underestimated how big this plant is going end up. I was under the impression that it would double in size during flower. Take a look at when i started flower, it has already doubled in size!

What about the color temperatur of my light? Is it warm enough for flowering?

Not because I'm trying to be negative but please for the sake of the rest of us home growers if your safety isn't important....fix those wire connections.
Has to be a way to reroute them away from your canopy and maybe even into a box.
it's up to us to show not all growers are willing to burn down their homes for a few zips.

Some sativas will take their sweet ass time and need a kick in the ass. Reducing the light on time by even 30mins will trigger their hurry up mode.

i appreciate your concern, but there's no hazard. It's low voltage and the wires are fully isolated. The wires going down through the canopy is supplying two 12V fans.

Your light is fine for flowering. Ideally I believe 3000 or 3500 is most common but 4000 will still work. Maybe wait for mor experienced growers to chime in. Im quite new myself but from what Ive read its more about the 12/12 the light color. I believe 3000 will give you denser more resinous buds then the 4000.

I fully agree with Torontoke. If I may, That totally looks like an accident waiting to happen. are those plastic walmart bags sealing the connections or are my eyes bad? If your not skilled enuff to run wires using a box and some zip ties then maybe have a friend help you. It's your grow space man... take a little pride in it and appreciate it. The cabinet is built into the wall and im only renting the place so im trying not to mess the cabinet up with screw holes and what not. It's is not a walmart bag It's electrical tape, alot of electrical tape. I'm planning on moving after iv'e finished my grow, hopefully without loosing my entire deposit. When i get more space i'll definitely get a standalone cabinet and make the installation cleaner.

Better record than any airline or car manufacturer for sure.

I'll have to tidy it up as I'm applying for my grow permit and wouldn't want to get shut down for dangerous electrical installations. Nothing is ever on the floor and The wiring I do myself is done to code except for the 4 - outlet box hanging in the middle of the mess and it will be properly installed ASAP.

But most fires are planned anyways so as long as your not "planning" on starting a fire starting it can never happen.

Shhhhh . . . $170.mth for house insurance the last 14 years leaves room for debate about whether a fire was planned or not. Insured for 3X it's actual worth so wouldn't want to start any rumours eh.
