Got seeds on my female weed plant need help

i have 4 female plants and 0 males I got rid of my males before they even sprouted anything. I’m a month or a month and a half in and I started noticing seeds on my bottom buds not on my kolas but on all the bottem branches on all 3 bagseed plants but the one feminized seed is fine. Anyone know why this happened ? I’m pretty sure it’s not a hermie because it has no bananas, balls, or sacs just good looking bud that has seeds on the bottom branch bud. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

it was pollinated by a male part either on the plant or nearby in the air. Likely it was from the plant showing some sexual confusion during flowering and pollinating itself. savor those seeds in a salad or your next germination. Keep an eye out for more of the same or correct clones with Switch, Reverse or similar.

One started out as a Super Sour Diesel clone and the other 2 are bag seed and they’re infested with seeds but no other male parts. I have a feminized seed and it’s completely fine

You most likely missed a ball sack or nanner. If your other plants are unaffected I wouldn't worry. Later down the road pop a few of those seeds and see what you get.

And keep an eye out from here out. I would check every day for things that shouldn't be there.

I’ve already cut the lower branches off that had popcorn buds to dry and smoke early and I’ve got like 30-40 seeds just off a couple branches of popcorn buds. But all the seeds are on the bottom branches of the plants. None of the kolas are affected

It's likely that the bag seed plants have some intersex traits because the parent plants that produced the bag seed to begin with were probably the result of self-pollination. I've had some bag seed produce plants with no seeds and I have also had expensive seeds (TGA Subcool) that have turned out to be basically banana trees. Go figure!

if it was just the lower branches with seeds and you cut them off and smoked them already you very possibly have already removed what hidden nanners were there

but at the same time its very unlikely that just those branches are seeded and not the majority of that plant and the others ...... the pics you posted yesterday showed what look to be like a plant that was just recently heavily pollinated

The offending flowers are sometimes few but very good at making pollen. Check the underside of buds carefully with vary strong light. The boy parts can grow within a cluster of pistils and be just about impossible to spot. No magic here, it will be close to the highest seed occurrence and could be hidden by swelling seeds.

false seed pod(slang)= bract covering the calyx

As the male or female plant matures calyx begin to swell. the first two hairs of a female (pistils) are noticed during sexing .This is where a seed would be if the plant was fertilized. A bract is what encapsulates the female’s reproductive parts. They appear as green tear-shaped “leaves,” and are heavily covered in resin glands which produce the highest concentration of cannabinoids of all plant parts. Enclosed by these bracts and imperceptible to the naked eye, the calyx refers to a translucent layer over the ovule at a flower’s base.
not so much a false seed pod as an ovary, as every female cannabis plant has them at the ready for a seed to form within...

like a false pregnant woman...always ready with a big belly, but not really a false pregnant girl

Did your lights go off at anytime was there any disruptions of the light cycle or variation of light start and stop times from not using a timer? You wanna keep the wake up time the same! Any of these factors could cause the plants to go hermie! The seeds are all going to be female too! But if you got a lot of seeds those seeds may go hermie too and don't wanna use them :eyesmoke:

Man I got mad love for Ed Rosenthal, but that is not one of his better answers. Did you read any of the forum threads or just the top result? My best guess is that False Seed Pods are either slight reveg, or parthenogensis of one half of double fertilization due to hormone or nutrient imbalance, such as exessive Ca, which could be due to high root zone temperatures or some other factor. After the weed is dried, False Seed Pods turn into what I call 'Grapenuts' and you can dig them out of the calyx with a pin. They are not seeds. It's a phenotypic expression that I believe is based mostly on genetics and partly on environment.

sounds interesting. I've seen what you speak of, in a wash they will float sometimes too. These are young hermie seeds, the plant was actually fertilized without enough time to mature the seedlings. not false, they are very real seeds, would be full grown if they had enough time I think.
