Is it okay to brew EWC, Bat Guano and Kelp Meal together in one tea? What about Alfalfa Meal in it as well?
I saw this post and it inspired me to buy these products. Rich, would you advise against using the budda grow product in the tea? Or in to use it in my next watering? I don't think it's a salt product. I still haven't fed them. I'm afraid I'm using too many guano products which can cause nute burn from what I've been told. Was looking for your input thanks buddy.Sure why not? I personally think alfalfa is better suited as a dry soil amendment but you can brew it in a tea. Kelp, EWC, and guano used to be my goto recipe until I started brewing AACTs with liquid fish in place of guanos. Not only is it cheaper and easier to find it makes the leaves supple & shiny. Check out neptunes harvest brand; very good stuff.
Brew for at least 48 hours but 72 is even better. Here's a cool video about AACTs but I suggest using non-chlorinated water instead like rain or RO; most tap water has chloramine these days which cannot be bubbled off.
Return all those bottled products immediately. You've been ripped off.View attachment 3949049 View attachment 3949048

Edit: I also read your most recent post about liquid fish smelling like low tide. Is this going to stink up my garage? Maybe look into a substitute?
Ugh. Can you recommend a better tea recipe? Why is the Buddha grow unnecessary? Should I feed them any kind of fertilizer?Return all those bottled products immediately. You've been ripped off.
Buy dry kelp, the liquid kelp is a waste of money. You are getting none of the proper benefits. The budda grow is unnecessary and a waste of money. The fish one costs way too much money and from the look of the npk is prolly not a proper hydrolysate.
Guanos are only gonna burn your shit if you feed to heavy. Those other products won't burn your shit because they are mostly water.
The guanos are fertilizer my friend! The budda grow is poor quality, waste of money, and mostly water friend! Dont feed them anything a grow store worker recommends lol.Ugh. Can you recommend a better tea recipe? Why is the Buddha grow unnecessary? Should I feed them any kind of fertilizer?
I'm all for liquid fish if you make them yourself! I've used fish products from organicallydone.com, neptunes harvest, and Alaska fish fertilizer. They work great...but other things are cheaper, better quality, and will last you longer. Mixing fish meal and fish bone meal into your soil will do you better. Thanks for that. I'm going to make some exchanges. Are you against liquid fish in general? I've heard good things
How did I do? I went to return the shit I got previously after I got this shit and I wished I got the happy frog all purpose 5-5-5 instead of this down to earth. Is the rock phosphate that's in it ok?I'm all for liquid fish if you make them yourself! I've used fish products from organicallydone.com, neptunes harvest, and Alaska fish fertilizer. I think the all purpose down to earth will treat you better than the happy frog! The rock phosphate in it is fine. DTE sources their phosphate from some of the less ethically labored mines...but they are the better quality phosphorus mines. The liquid kelp is pretty meh...you're not getting any of the benefits of the kelp. You're just getting a fermented product that's been stabilized, all you're getting from it is the npk from whatever they used to stabilize it. It won't hurt your girls, they'll soak it up tho. To put it into perspective...a five pound box of kelp meal...would make a grow store shelf full of those bottles. You're not just getting that much and you're paying a lot (in comparison). How did I do? wow 4-6 cups compost per 5 gallons of h20? i use one cup per 5 gallons and 1 Tablespoon of molasses per 5 gallons of h20.The guanos are fertilizer my friend! The budda grow is poor quality, waste of money, and mostly water friend! Dont feed them anything a grow store worker recommends lol.
For veg...and early flower
5 gallons of water
4-6 cups of compost or castings (or a mix of both)
1/2 cup of all purpose seabird or bat guano
1/2 cup of dry kelp
1/4 cup of molasses
Aerate for 24 hours, can be diluted with up to ten gallons of water if you need to stretch it for more plants.
For mid to late flower do the same recipe but subout the all purpose guano for high phosphorus guano.
Some nonguano recipes for anytime, midseason fertilisation and anytime your plants need some love
Five gallons of water
5 cups of worm castings
1 cup of alfalfa meal
1/2 cup of kelp meal
1/4 cup of molasses
Aerate 24 hours, can be diluted but again, not needed.
Five gallons of water
2 cups of alfalfa meal
1 cup of kelp meal
Steep for 24 hours then apply.
You can do the guano teas without compost or castings but they are nice additions.
If you can get some neem seed meal to mix or top dress into your soil you 100% should.
I use a microscope! More is better!wow 4-6 cups compost per 5 gallons of h20? i use one cup per 5 gallons and 1 Tablespoon of molasses per 5 gallons of h20.
is it easy to tell what youre looking at under scope? thats one of my next buysI use a microscope! More is better!
Always!Yeah I was thinkin I should have got just the fish one. Gunna switch it up. Thanks for your insight man
Not the first time lol. It's easier when you do it with a biology book or two next to you. You get better the more you mess with it. My local library rents them out, you should see if yours does anything like that.is it easy to tell what youre looking at under scope? thats one of my next buys
