Just a note. There is such a thing as too big an a/c unit. What you don't want it to do is short cycle. That means it comes on for a few minutes and then shuts down again. It is a very inefficient way to run an a/c and you can actually freeze up the coils quickly.

You want to be in the goldie locks zone. It should be running most of the time.

Just saying.

How about too small? I'm setting up a 5x5 room with a 1000w hps/mh. You think my 6000btu will cool it enough? Should I use it conjunction with an exhaust fan? Then I'm going to need a humidifier and dehumidifier right?

No one can tell you as it depends on lots of factors but your light alone produces 3500 BTU's (appr). The best thing you could do is vent the light using a cool tube, then u should be ok. As for dehum you may not need it as the AC will do lots. I doubt you'll be able to vent and keep up so then you may need to supplement CO2 ...... and that's why I head outdoors in the warm months lol.

Thanks for bumping this thread. I've been struggling to lower temps for years, and all i needed was an AC. Whodathunkit? I've been trying to grow in my fridge. I can't fit many plants in it, makes my milk taste funny and the light turns off when the door closes. It' a real pain in the ass!

Thanks for the info op. Here's a couple more tips I've learned.
If your car tires look low put some air in them. I used to remove pieces of the motor thinking it was to heavy for the wheels & tires. Turns out it was only air pressure.

If you don't want wet sneakers don't wear them in the shower. You're welcome.

Suck a dick you little faggot bitch. Is there a rule that says you can't comment on a thread after so long??
Say's one of small mind and smaller dick.......There is one about name calling:finger:......BTW, that was a rather weak and worn out insult.....You bore me!

A shame, such an attitude from a Tarantino fan....I liked the directors cut of True Romance....

First you call him an idiot, then you insult his intelligence after he objects to being called an idiot. Nice. There are lots of things to get yourself worked up over, someone bringing up an old thread on a pot growing forum probably shouldn't be one of them. Try to be less hostile and don't pick fights.
Also- "Say's" is spelled says. No apostrophe needed.
