How often do you water during flowering?

Sounds like most water by weight (good) or reading their plants (even better). In my short life I notice most who start out weighing soon MUST learn to read because your fing face is in her when you pick her up. Hand-eye-brain coordination. To new growers I almost insist on picking the container up and feeling. You then teach yourself. I guess some have idiots for students but . . . . ..

Cool thing about growing cannabis, mother nature gave us a built in water measuring 6, well 8 of them. stick your finger in the soil, if you get to the second knuckle and it is dry water it. Cannabis should be fun to grow, I say do what an old school grower told me. "If the plants leaf is firm and green good job, If not then you should find a good weed dealer ". lol but for real play with the cutting to see what the plant can take and what she won't deal with. take notes and do that to one of your phat girls that is chilling in the grow room. Unless you are growing Sky Heaven but, if you mortgaged your house to buy 10 seeds you wouldn't be asking about watering. BTW bc seeds sells them for 20,000.00 for 10 seeds. lol Good growing.

just gain some experience and learn to read the plants. When in doubt DON"T WATER!

Some plants tolerate wet soil - others require the dry soil period. Try to grow no more than two strains as too many strains will not allow you to be able to read the plant when gaining experience.

Great advice to start out with just one or two plants till you build up skills.

I hate when people refer to their plants as "GIRLS" - I hate even those clowns that refer to cars and trucks as "SHE"

just speak normal and get an education

as a breeder I have studied this plant for over 25 years, and let me tell you the whole cannabis family of plants are way more interesting then most people that i would call a girl, guy, man, woman and so on. So i call them she and girls, shit i talk to them. they don't talk back......maybe one day i will find that strain.

In the big scheme of life I hope you find more significant issues to hate than folks naming their plants. I love my "GIRLS", they are just too sexy! I would have sex with them if I could. Do you want to know what my girls names are?...Of course you do....Girl Scout Cookie, Cookie Kush and Lemon Kush. They are all too sexy for their pots!

A finger check hole drilled in the side of the pot at the bottom is also very useful, more so than a top check. But lifting and visuals are still better, although lifting is not always practical.

Fah, I simply water everyday at lights on. A metered amount that carries it perfectly to the next day....Been doing it that way for a long time..

Didn't you ever consider a drip system with that kind of schedule?.

WHAT you are growing in makes a difference. Different things hold moisture for different amounts of time and drainage matters.
My soil is slightly moist all of the time, using drip. Has been easy since switching to that method.

Hello all....some informative stuff here. I’m 2 weeks into flowering. My first grow and have 12 Critical Kush under 1000 watt hps. I’m watering twice daily approximately 1 litre per plant per day and my plants are looking healthy and happy.
I’m in 9 litre pots with a bio mix soil and a layer of sand over the top. Scrog netted, and using nutrients at about 125% of recommended doses.
Also, I’m in the UK.

Medium and perlite are factors too. I use coco and perlite, about 70/30 in 5 gal fabric pots. They drain well and coco should stay moist so I give them about 1 gal each every two days once they are in early to mid veg. When I was in soil I used the weight method and it's very easy. The pots go from heavy to light after a few days and it's easy to tell the difference IMO. I found the finger method to be misleading b/c the top 2 " is dry but the bottom half was still wet. Someone said drill a finger check hole down lower in the pot - good idea!

Ugh, it ends up being every day by the end. 3 gallon smart pots. Watering is a real chore, I'm gonna start adding less perlite and see if I can get it to every other day.

I'm in 10 gallon fabric bags, and I water mine about the same as you...every few days. If it's hot and windy, every couple days...it depends of course.
