Welcome to my journal..!

This is the only place where I do my journals, so you people of RIU have the pleasure of watching a really talented grower perform to the best of their ability, just for you guys and girls right here! lol

I have just got rid of 3500w of lighting and replaced it with 4 Budmaster cob panels, at a cost of over $4000.

Budmaster is made in the UK, which is where I'm from and live. I'm glad to support local business', also at the same time I'm glad to be switching to Osram cob, from hid, cmh, T5, blurples and metal halide.

I've gone with 2 of these Budmaster cob x-9's

http://www.budmaster.co.uk/budmaster-ii-uk-cob-x-9-led-grow-light.html

and 2 of these cob x-6's

http://www.budmaster.co.uk/budmaster-ii-uk-cob-x-6-led-grow-light.html

I'm going to use one 2.5 x 2.5ft tent, also three 3ft x 3ft tents.

I have 1 mother plant and some clones from her. She's my elite Brothers Grimm Cinderella '99 clone#2. Also got 6 Blimburn Cindy seeds. Various autoflowers too. There will be a mix. I'll update the strains as I go.

Enjoy the growing people. I'm looking forward to growing under this spectrum... My plants seem to do very well under white light / daylight.

I'd like to add that just because I use pre-made panels doesn't mean I'm a shill like those Amare boys!! lmao

I got 'some discount' because I bought 4 expensive panels and almost max'd a credit card buying the fuck*ng things lol

They may seem expensive to some... I think they're a bargain and I'll show you why in time!

I don't want anybody coming here accusing me of being a shill!

@714steadyeddie (you were ever present in my last journal)
@lukio (pull up a chair buddy)
@theslipperbandit (you too mate) You have both been great in the advice you've given me about Budmaster and helped me choose the right panels with your journals, info and advice! Thanks to the pair of you!
@Icemud420 Special mention to you as your youtube video on the cob4 pretty much set my mind on Budmaster.

Thanks to Paul at Budmaster for giving me some discount for buying multiple panels! Even from Spannabis the man still has time for his customers! Thanks buddy, enjoy!

Awesome man can't wait to see what you can do. You inspired my current setup so I know you'll kill this one once you dial it in.

Thanks @714steadyeddie, also thanks for stopping in so soon @theslipperbandit :-D

I have been having a quick look round. Seems the tents I prefer have made a timely upgrade. Secret Jardin DR90 now have a rev3 version, so it's now 3ft x 3ft x 2 metres. That's exactly what I needed... I'll be able to hang the filter easily above the leds. The previous height of 1.7m was a concern in my preparations for this grow. Those concerns have been addressed.

The secret jardin is over priced but stands. I'd recommend lighthouse max it's like 100 quid n reinforced everything best tent I've yet, it's got really thick metal clip in..bank for the buck
I think I just got lucky with my 1.2 trojan tent cause my 1.0 trojan is ripped to fuck but has a real quiet zipper, I agree with slipper lighthouse is the best wish I never sold mine in the beginning

Been an interesting day today. Just started a growing project for a buddy. It involves filling a 4ft x 4ft tent with bud at his place, by popping round there once or twice a week for the next 60 days.

Started up a 4 plant fast bud#2 grow, 12 litre pots, 400w 4500k Philips master mh and 400w Philips Greenpower hps. I've set it all up perfectly, got the temps and environment bang on too.

It's nice coz it's my old lights, my old tent and even fans. Doing it as a massive favour for free. It's nice to have the skills to turn somebody's family from rags to riches, in just 8 weeks from seed lol

He's a decent bloke, who also suffers with mental illness. Ain't got a penny to his name! The dude can't even drive his car, as he can't buy fuel.. Bit heavy innit! Government gone far enough with failing his mental illness, time to bring him to the growing world! lol

Gave him some seeds and a fat bud in an envelope. They should be popping Wednesday. It's nice, as I normally grow weed at my place to help people. This time, I'll teach him to grow elsewhere. It won't effect my own growing area, so really is no bother! He's keen, he's having two of my tents.

I will take a photo after 1 month and whack it in here, then take another at the end. The seeds he's growing I have grown many times. It's my home ground auto strain, so will undoubtedly be a success!

I ain't having anything from it, even when he gets a decent yield. He's keeping the lot and starting a great life for his family!

I'm glad to be getting rid of more of my stuff. 400w ballasts go for nothing used, so better to give them away.

I've bought enough Budmaster leds to keep my place warm in the winter, if not I'll buy more. I ain't going back to hid lighting ever!

I'm not started yet really. I'm waiting for the lights and have to move shortly too. I'll get my Blimburn Cindy seeds going soon. I'm also still waiting on my C'99 clones.

This is my break from growing. Kind of a break where I get to relax for a few weeks, but must prepare the next grow still.

Yeah I'm like that too, I love the actual growing side of it. Providing it doesn't take up too much time like my last journal, too many plants causes a headache, until harvest time

Good news today...

DSCN3375.JPG

The big plant is my elite Brothers Grimm C'99 clone#2 + 6 of her clones, my keeper from a 12 pack, AKA 'Jenny' My only mother plant lol

Good news, new roots on 1 clone so far, actually coming out the bottom of the pot, so moved the mother to a friends place for him to veg, then flower.

I'm going to keep these Jenny clones in a pc grow case under 125w cfl 'for the moment' This particular clone was joint best with another, however Jenny just clones so damn easily!

Like 'Holy Fuck, that was quick' easily :leaf:

I tried keeping 2 of them, but the other clone had 50% success rate in my aeroponics cloner, Jenny had 100% + they were all rooting before the other plant even started showing roots.

It was a no brainer! :bigjoint:
