Need Information on Cal/Mag Deficiencies When Using Led Lights

I have been using the search engine to find information on cal/mag deficiencies that may be cause related to using led lights. I believe I have such a problem developing. I have seen a couple of mentions that led lights can cause the above deficiencies but can't seem to find a thread that explains it more.
Can anybody explain what I am referring to or know of a link that I can research?
I do have CalMag from General Organics on hand but want to understand the nature of the relationship of led and calmag issues further so I am reaching out to those who know

in my opinion its a myth

more than likely people not adapting to the higher usable ppfd and its just common to get deficiencies. Calmag is a great product but now that im using jacks i have 100 ppm ca and 80 ppm mg from the nutes alone, no epsom salts or supplemental calcium for me

Thank you for the input. I am in super soil using the same recipe (Vic High) I have for years. During that time I have not run into such an issue until the first time I started using led. I am committed to using led now for several reasons but have already begun to understand there are slight growing differences between using hid and led and wonder if this is one of those such anomalies. I do understand that deficiencies just occur sometimes as I have been growing for 13 years now (under hid) but I also understand that making a change in the grow methods/equipment can artificially induce deficiencies as well.
All inputs both opinion and factual are welcomed.

Thank you majins. I am running a Apache AT600 w/r 3:2 but ran a blurple (Platinum P600) for a 1 1/2 weeks up until a couple of days ago when I switched to the Apache. The calcium issue started to show up 3 days into using the P600.

no im talking the usual formula people use (3-2-1, though im using a differenet ratio
the 5-12-26 has 5% Mg
the calcium nitrate has plenty of calcium
i dont use epsom salts

i also think that bleaching is commonly mistaken for deficiency and may be what some people see esp under blurples

Hey, didn't Monsanto buy Jack's?.... That's why I use GrowMore, fuck Monsanto!

Nope maybe scotts.jr peters aint for sale lol.
@BB Boomer i think there is a lil bit of a learning curve going from hid to cob growing and for alot of us calmag can be the quick fix.but the problem for me was corrected by just ramping up my nutes a bit stronger because the plants want to eat more under cobs because they are generally more happy.using supersoil just make sure you are ready around week 5 or 6 of flower your normal soil may not have anything left in the tank
Topdress or add some slow release granular now and you should be fine.i fed around 500ppm or 1.0 ec for years under hid lights but now that im mostly cobs i have had to bump most stuff across the board to 750ppm or 1.5 ec. I dont hardly use any calcium at all full cycle, might give my plants some cal 2x in veg and one more time around week 2 of flower with some og strains but not everything.good luck, cobs rock bongsmilie

Yup yup scotts/miracle grow is monsanto
Jr peters is jacks/jacks classics totally different and much smaller company than scotts was/is lol. By the way i have some pot plant pics grown in miracle grow soil using no nutes that would blow your mind :)
Jr peters uses the safest practice in salts mining and processing, as safe as can be.
Where does growmore come from? You would be surprised where alot of nutrient companys buy there bulk chemicals, not many of them source their own stuff.

Been discussed a lot. Search for it. Basically, anyone claiming that COBS do not create the potential for a higher intake of Mg should not be growing.

I have experienced first hand the move from HPS to COB using the same strain (clone) in the same environment. I have also tried to keep my cal/mag supplement lower intentionally on COB on different strains (basically what I would supply for HPS) just to see if they would develop a deficiency. Sure as shit, they always do, and within 2-4 days typically.

Some people have not experienced this and I believe its due to different environments. We all grow differently and no ones environment is the same as the next. Find what works for you. Your plants will tell you if they need something (or had too much of something). Light bleaching does NOT look like a Mg deficiency at all and IMO, COB KITS is spreading his usual bullshit. To make a blanket statement that COBS do not increase the chance of a deficiency is absurd.

All i was sayin is that when i increased my nute strength my plants are fine again.i have shit here i popped in 2009 so i think i know my strains pretty well.my first run with cobs i had to use calmag to "correct" a problem.the problem was cobs grew healthier plants so they wanted more food.i never use calmag on my masterkush and jacks classics has zero calcium so idk maybe my environment is such that calcium is not important?
But jacks does have plenty of magnesium so idk. @doz i def agree no 2 gardens or gardeners are the same,i just see traditional calmag products as a fix all.99% of the time its not that the plant wants calmag,it might need or want mag or cal or more npk.but the way most companies package cal/mag together with nitrogen it makes alot of sense it will correct problems and green up plants.mag leaches from container growing easy, calcium helps loosen salt build ups.nitrogen and iron make plants green.the magic elements are all bundled nicely for us lol.speaking of magical, dont underestimate that iron folks ;)

if you took 10 seconds to read what i wrote, you would see that i very much said using cobs increases the chance of a deficiency.... im saying its not selective to magnesium and calcium

you guys are entitled to your opinion, as am i. you should learn how to present yours without trashing others, its not a good look

Thanks for the good reading. My guess is it is/was the change of the lights. My belief comes from the fact that the lights were the only parameter that was changed including soil, environment, etc. and was ground zero for the beginning of the problem compared to previous grows. The problem did begin 3 days after the switch in lighting. I don't know if the problem is because of starting out with a blurple light; because I have seen many grow examples under blurple that seemed to turn out just fine.

I have repeatedly read that led increases production of trichomes and encourages improvement of the terpene profile so it seems to be a reasonable expectation that the plant would increase use of some nutrients to facilitate the increased production thus creating a deficiency. The problem is diminishing but since I added some CalMag besides going to a white led
(actually white/red) I can't say for sure which is responsible for improvement if not both.

The one possibility I can't prove or disprove is if the problem is strain specific and related to led lights.

I personally run some of my nutes separate, one being Cal/Mag (even though the deficiency is Mg, the plants have never had an issue with C/Mg so its easy).

I've looked into Growmore and they have always produced their. I understand about Jr Peters, I just try my best to buy nothing the makes money for Monsanto, they are the Satan of the gardening world IMO.
