Looking for light: ~250w draw LED with UV supplement built in

I saw this awhile back while browsing rollitup... but I can't seem to find it now. I've looked through every list I can.

Its draw is between 200-250w, I think it's got 4 cobs, and there's a CFL light bar (at least it looked like a CFL) going down the middle to provide uv (I forget if it's uvb). Does anyone know what light I'm talking about? Furthermore, if anyone can link me to one in this range I'd appreciate it. Only found a couple with cobs but they were too large, most of the uv supplementation goes with the blurples.

Amare was it, no price listed and the "buy now" button goes to a blank "contact us". I'll pass for now. Thanks

this sounds like what your describing http://howtogrowmarijuana.com/diy-led-grow-light/ fluorescents are still the best way to get UV and broad spectrum blue light and the aquarium crowd has be experimenting with hybrid lights for several years now. combining LEDs with fluorescents.you may pick up some good ideals by looking at DIY aquarium lights

Growmau5 is also building one with uvb on youtube, if you're into diy

I have posted this already. And no one touches it like an elephant in the room. Because god forbid the great growmau built a light that's basically a copy of an SE 450..........

This can't be, the DIY LED guru building a light like the one @Hybridway is so content with using, this will flip the entire LED section on it's head, the trolls will instantly vaporize. The best part is he's giving the light away to one of his followers :)

Except growmau5 is gonna be using XP-E and XP-G3 monos, and CXB3590 chips most likely. The UV bulb in the center is the only thing I see that's similar.

Amare has already been integrating the new mono's in and 3070's vs 3590's is a moot point they both grow perfect weed. Whomever thinks 3070's are garbage should look at CaptnMorgan's grow logs with his Octopots. :peace:

I don't think they're garbage. Gavitas grow perfect weed too, they're just not very efficient. Amare has great spectral distribution, their lights grow great bud, but they use a little more power than they need to because of their slightly older tech. But almost all commercial fixtures are slightly older tech considering it takes a LONG time to get a light built and tested, and by then a newer 10% more efficient OEM option has already succeeded your tech. New monos is good news, makes the price more justifiable in my book.

I've been following morgan's grow, great stuff. CXA3070s are where the big difference is, about 10% efficiency gains with the CXB3590. Only about a 5% difference between CXB3590s and CXB3070s if I recall correctly.

Either way, I was just pointing out this light that growmau5 is building ain't really an SE450 clone. There's no doubt it has its similarities, but it's gonna be a different light.

Amare's been using Xp-g3's since they came out. 8 months or so now.
I have them in my Pro-4's surrounding those CXB-3590 old tech everyone was drooling over 2 months ago.
When anyone says they use old tech it makes me wanna :spew:.
They are one of the fastest evolving companies around & now a sponsor here!!!

I pre-ordered a couple of these, the larger verion, getting my clones next week so will be up and running soon. The Titan 3 is 250w adjustable with UV and IR and covers a 3x3. 20% off at LED grow lights depot right now. MCOB, I believe they are using Epistar red diodes and nichia for UV and blue, or just UV...not sure.

I appreciate the responses guys, this stuff is evolving too damn fast. I might want to look into just adding the uvb CFL, I'm currently using CXB 3590's that I hang up individually. Was hoping I could find an affordable, yet lazy, way to get it done.

E-mail them. Owners name is Victor. You won't be disappointed. I promise you that.
I was on my way out at the time so I wasn't able to add my complete thought, their solareclipse 350 (the one I would want) is just plain too big as well (2x2.5x6' grow space). Stuff looks legit, I'll keep an eye on them.

I saw those, they kept me from saying "I'm willing to spend whatever" in the OP. I'm willing to spend quite a bit ($800ish absolute max), but $1200 for a light that is probably just marginally better than these $600 cob systems with $50 in UV isn't worth it. Please don't get me wrong, I'm totally jealous, I'm just not at the point of spending that kind of money when I only get in two grows a year at 8-10 ounces each.

Too much DIY for my current life situation. Thanks though.

I hear you that's why I am sticking to HID until the LED evolves a bit more myself. Keep us posted as to what you do though please :)

HIDs are evolving too. the new CMH bulbs look great for a larger grow room but not very many electronic ballast available for them yet.and the price needs to come down some
