Start LST. You don't need to top it

FIM is better to take them cuts

snip with clean razor 1 inch below lateral

dip in honey then to ur damp medium

trim the leaf edges to reduce load

(make like a little tree)

I can't put a screen on it for another 5 weeks. So shouldn't I top it?

I should also add that I have to keep it under 30" tall until I move to the flower room.

Word, just get those bottoms exposed and work on keeping the top down. you are IMO kind of late for that, unless your only goal is to cease it apical dominance and drive the growth into the branches only. then spread those out on the screen.

Pic a node based on size you want and cut right above the two fan leaves, but not to damage the growth tips on either side.
