Hi I've been trying to find out if a single 400w digital ballast causes radio frequency interference problems I've read were others have had. Radio frequency interference problems with there digital ballast causing radio frequency interference and trouble with cable company but in most cases they had 1000w or multiple digital ballast running I'm only looking to run a 400w digital ballast and was hoping to get insight from others that have digital ballast if I would have trouble with radio frequency interference just running one 400w digital ballast thanks

Thanks I'm sure I might have some interference. Cause I was on an budget so the brand is an ipower I've read of people wrapping there ballast with tinfoil but wouldn't that interfere with the fan in the ballast I've also heard of people making diy faraday cages out of chicken wire or mesh do these work

You mean a cheap ole Faraday cage like this one? If so, yes it works. No more cable guy pounding on my door wanting to come in and check all the cable wires anymore. It seem I knocked out a few houses with RFI. I went with a Digital Galaxy because so many people and the manufacturer said it's RF Shield. NOT!!!Anyway. I build mines from scrap wood, a mesh from home depot, aluminum and aluminum tape. $30 bucks total and no grounding my cage. I also wrap my wires, first layer aluminum, second later aluminum tape. Good luck to you.

ok thanks It was hard to tell by the pic it almost looks like metal mesh, any size copper mesh and what department would that be in I looked around the other day and didn't see any that size, as for dbs:clap:
Just look into faraday cages...might not have spelled that right. And I’m a big anime fan
