My thoughts on the 2016 US presidential election

I previously voted for Obama twice. But this time I voted for Trump and I'm not ashamed to say it. And its more because of my hate for Clinton and her lying ways. But there are reasons I like trump too. He's not a die hard republican which I like. And he's going to be good for our economy and also with Russian and Chinese relations. I hope it's four years of "selfishness". Not putting too much resources in defending the Asian sea and taking in more refugees that we can handle at the time. This will give the country more funds for domestic issues like infrastructure and growth.
I have high hopes and don't really see him coming after marijuana at all. He's got bigger fish to fry. If anything he realizes the economic benefits of legalizing it. I don't think he's as narrow minded as he seems on TV.
I'm hoping for the best. And would love to really see him "Drain the swamp" and be for the middle class.
How do you feel about stop and frisk ?

Trump is not. Its the little things that will determine the big things.
Law and order. Get ready for you police state.
I don't even see that as an issue he's going to change or even address at all. He cant just snap his fingers and say "stop and frisk is perfectly legal." It seems like people are grasping at straws and throwing out paranoid projections. Oh and he's coming after gay marriage too? Paranoid BS indeed.

Therein lies the problem. People like yourself not understanding the whole of a Trump presidency.

Donald Trump has been pushing for cities to expand stop-and-frisk policies in order to combat crime, but some argue it’s a form of racial profiling.

He will appoint SCOTUS who will fall on the side of stop and frisk. He will appoint a Attorney General the falls all the side of stop and frisk...but you keep telling yourself he can't do that..WTF

Unfortunately people like yourself pick a few issues to continue to bad mouth a candidate for, obviously not understanding the big picture. There are a ton of more important issues that he will be focusing on than side track issues...like

There are a ton of more important issues that he will be focusing on than side track issues...everyone on the planet could pick their own little hit list of things they don't like to shred a candidate. Again I would suggest giving the man a chance. You will have plenty of time to hate him in the future if he gives you reason to once he actually starts making decisions from the White House.

I dont expect Trump to be a great president. I hope he will be but there are plenty of things I already disagree with. He is happy with big government, stop and frisk and tariffs on goods. Not things that lead to a free society.

I am cautiously optimistic. i will afford him the same level of respect I would have afforded Clinton had she been elected. If he surrounds himself with great talent their is no telling what the outcome will be. Might even be good!

Cautiously optimistic is right! Except I would not respect Clinton as much. She is just such a lying piece of trash. The secretary of state should not be doing the corrupt pay to play and cover up shit she has been doing for years now.

The only way I could be optimistic about the outcome of this election is if something were done to correct the runaway corruption that occurred on so many levels.

And just because you've successfully bribed or suckered your politicians into making a corrupt act legal doesn't mean it still isnt corrosive to the wellbeing of society as a whole.

I'm as convinced as ever we'll get screwed again, while we're watching. And those who do it will smile wave their middle fingers at us while stuffing their pockets with cash.

And Trump doesn't lie?? My god, the man told more lies and half truths during his campaign than most folks would in a lifetime. Not to
Mention the fact that he has screwed over so many people in his business dealings you could write a book about it. He's a narcascitic pig. The furthest thing from honest.

I read somewhere a Trump aid is compiling an enemies list. Reminded me of Nixon.

I still don't see how a member of the 1% is the choice of those who want change.

Let me know when he brings those lost jobs back and cuts health care costs 'way WAY down'.

And he'll find out that the vision dosen't match the reality.
Shit happens. Ask Bush or Obama.
