Replacing 2000 watts of HPS with 1000 watts COB LEDs

Ive ran 3000k 3500k and 4000k, but nothing really by themselves. I think my sweet spot now is between 3500-4000 but I am biaised a bit, I think I am just going off the fact some people claim MH grow more resin and HPS more overall weight ... I am after resin quality so Ive been mixing 3500 and 4000

Northern Grow Lights are the BEST! My 3500k came today, and as usual it's a beauty.

So... now I have ZERO HPS in the room! My energy consumption went from 1600 (summer) to 2000 (not summer) watts down to 820 :) I'd still like to add one more 3000k, so if anyone knows a good bargain or someone selling (or building) one, let me know.

And as always- thanks guys!!

I add InfraRed to mack up for the difference along with a litle Deep Red too. Get nice resin rails even on the underside of fan leave stems. peace

Check with @REALSTYLES he is building lights like a maniac right now. he is using some really nice COB's too. he has lights good to go I believe. he is a member here. peace.

I have recently noticed that the Kush is growing a little funny this time. The tops seem to be growing kind of "spindly" and I think the cobs might be too close. I also had to high PH that also could have caused this. Any suggestions?

That looks like pH issues or light leak. Light intensity you'll usually notice bleaching. Clawing and single bladed leaves are generally due to stress/toxicity.

My PH drifted up over 7, I've got it back down to 6.0. That was my first thought, too- but with the new lights, I was unsure. I don't think it's a light leak, although I also thought that. I'll check that tonight when the lights go out.

It's the PH, I am having the same issue right now after my meter busted recently. My PH was off right before the meter died. Happened to me right before switching lights too so I was in the same boat lol. Keep an eye on it and flush the plant out of needed.

Ok, fuck... I know what has been happening.

I just went down to vape and the fucking light was on! I know it shut off at 5 because I went down and shut the door, like I always do. I even went inside and shut the door to see if there was a light leak tonight. The timer must be toast. I've never seen one just turn back...

I have no idea how long this has been going on. I suspect the light was coming on after only a few hours of darkness, like maybe 9pm to 5pm and they are showing signs of reverting back to veg.

I'm glad I figured it out, but now I'm figuring I fucked up this harvest.

Nah. Get a new timer, all will be well in a week or two.
