Gavita lights

It's called how hard you drive them...... a cob can achieve 200lm/w easily these days. Area 51 wasnt driving them that low. Also are you sure he bought top bin?
Cool white used in the RW series: XTEAWT-00-0000-000000H50 R5, Warm White used in the XGS: XTEAWT-02-0000-00000BFF6, Red LED used in the RW
and SGS Series: XPeReD-L1-0000-00801 P3.

I use cxa2590's supplemented with 660 , 680 and 730 nm red diodes , still get better hauls with my HPS. Keep reaching though, its funny to watch you grasp at straws.

There is no helping you. This numbers are derived from a certain wattage per led.
If you run the xte at higher wattage than what is shown as test wattage it will have lower lm/w. If you run cxb3590 at lower wattage than the test wattage it will have higher lm/w. I'm not going any farther with this shit. If you don't like LED go to the hid section of this forum and wear it out. You say you run those leds but give no details. I mean really I can straight up run an hps in a cool tube horizontal with no reflector and it would look bad... just telling us you use cxa2590 and some mono gives us no idea.

I'm on a thread titled "Gavita Lights" maybe you need to go away from this thread and stop giving bad information out, you don't know what you are talking about and you are just trying to sell your product, I got no bone in this fight, i'm just telling the truth and although you don't like it because it hurts your bottom line , it's still the truth. Now stop trying to spew garbage lies about how COBs are better than HPS because they are not.

True, but it shows that COB's aren't a very solid stand alone light, they also lack heavily in the far red / inferred spectrum, and running a T5 in the same grow area as another light is a huge pain in the ass, if you hang them horizontally they block the lights that are above them and if you hang them vertically they don't really help the top buds. And the UV shielded MH are more in the non-horticultural industry, pretty sure hortilux bulbs have increased UV/blue output.
I dont think you understand how t5 uv lamps work.you could hang one 4ft t5 on the ceiling and have 5x as much uv in the room than a room full of mh lamps lol.mh has very little and would be run the whole cycle.where as just a few hours per day with the t5 would provide much more uv to your plants.
Put one on each wall and a few on the ceiling if your that into uv.but then tell all those gavita users their lights suck because they also lack any substantial uv lol.
Mars led panels have uv and ir built in,are we to assume these would be the best possible lighting for Marijuana?

Ps,i used a mars 1600 and got rave reviews on the smoke from it,running multiple strains under it before it took a shit.just sayin :)

Yeah I used two blackstar crap bluple lights for years and got good buds from it, doesn't mean I couldn't have gotten better under a HPS. And you do realize you can get DE MH lights right? I have enclosed a link to a picture you should view.

Oh and just a FYI , T5's are linear lights , they lose intensity VERY quickly, hanging them on the ceiling most likely will only accomplish raising your electric bill because the light would be so weak by the time it reached the plants it would be nearly useless.

I follow jungleboyz on ig as well lol,you really shouldn't reference him in all your led arguments bud.your de metal halide does not have the same output as 1 decent t5uv lamp will.your basically telling me the plant needs so little uv we could get it from a flashlight lol.
Enhanced blue just means less red and orange, not necessarily uv

Yeah those T5's make a lot of UV(too much if you ask me), but they don't make any other light, enhanced blue pushes chlorophyll production. I radiate my LED grow room with 18% UV-B light 15 minutes per hour starting half way through the grow cycle and lasting 6 hours.

Says the guy still asking noob HPS questions in the LED forum. Maybe you'd have better luck not stirring up shit literally anywhere else on the site.
Slow clap for Juan Pablo. He has finally figured out the obvious. I don't know shit. I made that very clear in my first post. We get it you like LED but you havent posted a single shred of useful data. So please STFU

Don't mind him, he's here because he has no where else to go, I think he might live in a van down by the river.

So again.. What is the price range for a 1000w COB LED setup? I already said earlier that I wouldn't be apposed to mixing the two light sources. I can see benefits in both.

You want to build it yourself?
Yeah if I'm going to incorporate them in I think that's the best route. I was going to use them as side lighting and maybe the edges of the 3X6 trays with a few sprinkles in along side of the HID fixture.

You can probably build a similar fixture for 1500$ is my guess maybe a bit more.
