BIG BUD STRAIN??

The girls are awake now. This is my little first attempt at hydro. Great White Shark on the left and WWxBB on the right.

I don't want to hate on Big Bud. The buds ARE big. And it's an Afghan x Skunk, so it's got good heritage. I'd describe its quality as "nothing special" but its yields are great which is why it's been crossed with damn near everything. I wouldn't shy away from anything that has Big Bud as a parent but would probably pass on the original. There's nothing wrong with saying your crop is Big Bud crossed with something else famous for extra potency/flavor/whatever.

Yea I fkd up and ordered the seeds already guess it will be a good filler or cheap bag.
 
Gg4 seeds or the gg4 clone only will work ask around I personally have an s1 and the original and my s1 is just as sick in everyway just slightly diff or any of the gg4 crosses work well too If u already ordered seeds run them and setup right for next time

GG is a bit overrated in most available forms..At least around here I have not been impressed!...Unless you know the right person or got lucky enough to have ample seeds numbers to find the pheno...I've found no reason to pursue it...

I tend to like it's parents better.....Giesel (a real deal chemd cut) is BITCH'IN!

What do you think about my question?
I need a high yielder for commerce ial purposes but I don't want to yield a whole lot of mediocre bud. I was looking at the incredible bulk and blue dream???

Blue Dream is nice but the "true" BD is clone only......HSO has an acceptable version.....Clicks at about 20% (not seen it get higher, but don't mean that it don't) the average that I saw coming in for sale to the shop was 18-19 and the "real deal" was like 21-23...

I might suggest the ECSD from Doc Greenthumb..... Get that dialed in and you get outstanding smoke and good yields!
His Ghost Cut OG does very well too! I mean they're not like BD yields but the potency is eye opening! The Ghost was one of my top sellers of all time! long lasting buzz! Just seems to keep coming and coming in waves sometimes! If you can manage an outdoor plant that will finish properly, by all means TRY the Ghost! WHEW!
His Chem #4 has been a real brain freezer too - average to av+ yields....

The thing is that it seems to be one or the other for extremely potent or extremely yielding.....
They do come together in the "middle" and that middle can be kinda wide...
This is the question that gets asked a lot here.....opinion is the rule and you can yield well with anything if you can have the numbers to do a dense SOG!
 
I'm limited to 5 plants so no sog. ScrOG for me.

I guess I'll see how this blue kripple sells.
I'm not In a legal state so maybe people will think it's totally awesome and then I'll just do incredible bulk and no one will really care. I just don't know the market that well I suppose.
I'm thinking alot of people on here are gonna be more on the connoisseur level.

A guy said the big bud sold without complaint and most in here say it's average at best.

I can hook u up with an s1 or original big dog that will make you nut yourself lol shits no joke both of them knock out all day straight fire
