Should My Plant's Roots Be Completely Submerged?

Fill the res to right under the net pot. But you do not need to keep the res full, you can let it drop and then refill when it's real low. Always refill to right below the net pot though so you have less refilling to do.

So the answer i guess is no, but preferably mostly submerged when filling res.

Right under the net pot is ideal.

You can cover most of the net pot if your oxygen levels are good but i wouldn't recommend it. I fill part way up the net pot when the girls are drinking a lot just to fill less often.

You can let the reservoir get very low as long as the roots don't dry out. They seem to like it, BUT if your nutrient concentration is going up while the water level is going down this can be very BAD.

Pretty sure marijuana is a dry footed plant meaning its roots dont like to be completely submerged.

Everytime I do that I get low rootzone o2 symptoms.

One of my concerns also, are the pressure of the bubbles pressing and pushing the tender roots causing them to sway. And the stem of the plant being too moist as others have said not do by having the solution that high above the bottom of the net pot. This seemed to make sense. Whats your take on that. And thanks for the replies.

No worries on your bubbles hurting the roots. You don't want the water so high that its submerging your stem, that would prolly rot it.

You're doing the common over thinking, just jump on in and start growing, you'll learn a lot in doing so.

This literally just happened to me when I filled to the bottom of the net with a slightly too high nutrient concentration and not enough bubbles. I got the claw leaves. After shitting a brick I just gave the roots a rinse, some new water and a couple more airstones. She seems happy again.
