Newt Admits to GOP Conspiracy to Block President Obama's Policies

On June 12, 2012, Newt Gingrich admitted he and Paul Ryan and 11 other GOP Congressmen did, indeed, plot to sabotage the US Economy because, as Newt put it, they were afraid that since President Obama was going to work with both parties to pull America out of what George Bush called "a Depression greater than the Great Depression" that Obama would lead like Eisenhower and get re-elected and by-gawd the GOP would rather America's economy go belly up than have President Obama win re-election 4 years later.

First of all, they said it publicly at the time. A conspiracy is something in secret. So, fail on the title of the post.

Furthermore, Newt Gingrich explained it in the interview. Obama had a choice, work with congress down the middle or slam legislation through along the hard left. He chose the hard left path and alienated Congress and the Senate which were turned over to the Republicans during his terms in office.

What is it exactly that you are whining about?

And just to add to it. This interview was from 2012 before Obama was even re-elected. Are you having a political flashback?

The conspiracy actually began in December but it came to light the night of the meeting in January because it was on inauguration night and reporters found out the meeting. It's all there in Robert Drapers "Do not ask the good we do: inside the house of U.S. Representatives".

And two weeks after the night he was sworn in he went to the hill to meet with Republicans and was basically bitchslapped by them.

But of course the pukesters are always going to blame Obama for EVERYTHING.

Was the conspiracy not to give Obama everything he wanted? Because what they did was not illegal.

Kinda like his entire term, and even as he is walking out the door, the Republican assassins are still trying to kill him, as evidenced by their blocking of his nomination to the SCROTUS. The good news is that they basically have failed to destroy Obama, seeing as his hallmark bill, the AHCA, is still alive and well, and he has had a relatively productive Presidency, considering the land mines the GOP had placed in his path every step of his way in trying to save this country, and bring it back from the cliff the GOP left this country teetering upon after 8 years of Republican rule. They failed, and all they have really accomplished was to show most Americans how really fucked up the Republican party has become, and the icing on their shit pile is Trump. Nice work.

You have NO Problem with politicians trying to hurt everyday Americans just because they don't like the president?

HOW DO I GET SHIT STAINS LIKE YOU ON IGNORE WHEN I'M NOT LOGGED IN?

They disagreed with Barak Obama's policies. Becoming president did not make him king. He decided not to negotiate and try to usurp the power of congress. He got slapped down by that. It is called a separation of powers for a reason. Your definition of hurting every day Americans means confiscating wealth from some at the point of a gun so it can be re-distributed. That certainly isnt my definition.

The December meeting involved Cantor, Bonehead & Newt. At that early meeting the idea of obstructing Obamas every move was discussed they wanted more people on board to make this plan work, hence the inauguration dinner meeting where they would all be in town but what they didn't count on was having the meeting by the cabal being discovered.

And you can stop listening to faux because 2 weeks after Obamas inauguration he had gone to Capital Hill to meet with the pukesters and was bitchslapped (it was in the news both print and media...Google it.) but I know you won't because you wanna believe that Obama didn't try to reach across the isle, that's what the right has been saying from day 1 so you wanna believe that bs.

Yea, in a way he was elected fucking king, for at least for 4 years. but those self serving Republicans rats knew they could fuck with him every step of the way, basically saying fuck you to the MAJORITY of the American people.
Now they are using another ludicrous idea to say they "want the people to decide" who is going to appoint the next SCROTUS, this sitting President with 8 months left in a term that the American people had actually elected him to serve, or the next President Clinton, who hopefully will ram that mistake right up their arses
They are so fucked up, it is ridiculous, and if I kept on typing about that, right now, I will end up hurting myself. Bye

Oh BTW was this meeting in December 2008 meet your definition of a conspiracy by...(this is where I stop to clear my throat)...Patriots!

Remember what goes around, comes around and it's coming around like a MF in November.
I just hope Obama gives the GOP a great big fuck you and rescind the SCOTUS nominee and let Hillary make her choice... Because you know, the people have spoken.

That summation has the depth of a juvenile fantasy.

As always, with the tone of a strident nit wit your deflect the point and turn apologist for conniving slackers and obstructionists. Stating that Obama chose the "hard left path" exposes your flaky zealotry GTFOH. The right is more inept, ridiculous and laughably radical than ever. Obama is though of as extreme or lefty by very few legitimate critics.
.
Your perspective is a real problem. As a slave to failed dogma you fail to comprehend the moment. Obama won twice and pushed through hard core legislation. The GOP is in shit covered tatters. Another democratic prez is predicted to win, another dem will be chosen as Supreme court justice and republican senate seats are gonna be lost. The GOP alienates without regard. "chickens coming to roost" is how observers all over the world describe the comical collapse of the GOP.

What does all of that have to do with an interview 4 years ago?

If you hadnt noticed the Democrats lost both the Senate and the House of Representatives, how could that happen if the people are so happy with Obama's policies?

I am not part of the GOP and as such am an observer like yourself. I dont need to be the target of all of your anger.
