i added some extra cal mag and watering to flush them a bit, exhibiting new growth but noticed some burnt tips now also

Are you spraying your leafs with water? It almost looks like when you spray your leafs with water and the water drops act like a magnifying glass for the light and actually burns spots in the leafs like that.

Also adding extra cal mag and flushing was probably a little bit extreme. It's good to be proactive but it's best to try and attempt to figure out what it is first. I'm not getting down on you the plants look great but what was your thinking behind upping the cal mag and flushing them. How many leafs have these spots? Could we see picture of the twisted growth? Tell us more about your set up what are you feeding how much and how often? How is your ph? What's your light schedule?

Light schedule is 18-6
General Hydroponics Nutrients
Every 3 days or so for feeding
Growing 3 plants in Coco and 2 in water farms
1000 watt led
4X4 tent
Temp anywhere from 70-78 degrees
Tap water but PHd

And the twist in the leaves I spoke of is right at end of leaves , some newer ones have twisted as well as some older

When I flushed the plants in the coco I didn't add any nutrients other than cal mag to the water and almost overnight all the plants perked up nicely ... That perk is hold up today also . Aside from the spots plants look pretty good. I'm watching the new growth (they have grown a good bit in last 48 hours ) and so far no new orange rust spots ... I did use foliar spray

I did use a foliar spray ( Flowers Kiss ) but was careful to mist and not get any large drops on plants . And the rust spots are on some lower leaves as well that don't get any direct light .
I had these symptoms In the beginning and when I added cal mag the first time it worked out .. My issue with being new is that a lot of marijauna issues have similar symptoms so trouble shooting is frustrating with my limited experience .

This is pics of plants early this morning , looks as if they are praying still lol

Try and figure out the weight of the pots when full after a feeding. That way you can tell when they need to be fed.

Nice set up, what brand LED are you using and what are the true watts? Full cycle led ?

interesting about the weight thing lol.. never thought about that
I'm using 1000 watt kind led full spectrum
actual wattage at full power is around 630
when i started this grow i opted for a 400 watt mh but my ballast was bad so i upgraded to a 600 watt mh/hps set up but then i researched leds and the energy usage and gave it a shot

I'm far from an expert...my expertise is about a month into this lol but i have to say the plants are responding very nicely to the led

I've experimented with adjusting spectrum and intensity and at night i go to all blue spectrum instead of lights out and they grow literally over night and pray to the light

those symptoms i noted earlier were also accompanied with purpling of stems on topside towards light so thats more evidence pointing toward a magnesium deficiency
but i don't get it because i was adding it regularly unless the plants started using it at a faster rate than i was supplying

How is the heat compared to the hps and mh 600w setup if I may ask?

For sure the led is cooler but how much cooler?

Red stems is phosphorus not magnisum most of the times.

If I understand right, you are vegging now under 24/0 right?

Full spectrum during the day and only blue at night?

not red stems, purple and i consulted several reputable growers on that issue.. that was the general consensus ..magnesium..i don't know for sure as I'm not an expert but adding cal mag pepped them up and new growth looks healthy so far
