im facinated with verticle growing, ive been thinking of trying to rig a verticle net about 6 inches from my closet wall and weaving them through that like a trellis, angle lights as needed etc.WALL OF BUDS FTW...lol.

Meanwhile 6/6 clones rooted and potted up for the next run.

I also have three seedlings of afghani kush. There should have been 5, but I dropped the seedling planters and it just turned into a mess haha. I broke my number one rule, don't work in the tent drunk. I seem to break that rule alot.

I'm going to grow these along side and then clone each one and flower to check if they are male or not.

Well...thats even easier then :)
I shit you not, the way mine is set up at the moment is easier to work in then when I was doing horizontal scrogs. More room to reach around.

One thing you need is good glasses. Think ill pick up some method sevens this week, because its super bright.

I also installed another light I can turn on instead of the hps to work. But I don't tend to spend much time in my grow room, too busy chasing kids around.

I also brought a green led so I can work in the day (lights off period) if need be.

One other thing in probably going to do on the next grow is rig up a screen to the back of a pot and then have that sitting in the door way of the tent. So I just pull it out when working on the others. Figure why waste that extra wall :)

Damn thats an interesting idea paulie, have a little verticle screen you can attach to a pot...

The hidden doorway into the green abyss..

Shhhhhh! The fact that vertical is less work is our best kept secret!

You don't grow vertical plants. You grow scary looking monsters haha :)
That's right. Gotta show 'em who's boss, or they might smoke YOU!

Seems like an easy way to increase your tent yield 25%....

Just use that fourth wall...brilliant.

Lol
That's 33% more, says the obsessive compulsive engineering junkie.

It will not magically create yields per watt, you do need to add more light. However, since it's vertical and has so much more surface area, most of the time people's trellises are badly underlit and will respond to additional light like gangbusters.

In a few months on thinking of swapping the 1kw bulb for two 315w cmh. You think that would be worth it? There definitely not cheap to buy.

If I got a cob led. Do you just hang yours horizontally for additional lighting or face it towards a vert wall?

Having just installed my first 315W CMH kit, I'd say that's the direction you should go. 30W/sq ft of 315W CMH lighting would kick some serious butt. Since you're vertical and already growing around an omnidirectional light source, it makes sense to stick with the same style of light.

COB LED is doing very well in a lot of tents out there... flatlander style. There are still some bugs to work out in terms of using them in small space vertical grows. I'm not in a tent so my vertical approach basically amounts to walls o' weed.

Cheers man. That's what I've been thinking. I brought a led years back. Before cob were around. It wasn't that great compared to hid.

Do you know anywhere that does good deals on cmh kits that might ship worldwide.

Sorry one other thing. Can you run one of those 315w bulbs off a normal 400w hps/metal halide ballast?
