i dont even get this whole arguement about led and heating buildings lol.heating is always way cheaper than cooling, not to mention most the newer minisplit a/c systems have heat built in as well.but i do wish the guy who said he had 3100w of cobs in one spot pulling 1.5gpw or whatever at least posted some pics.
oh if you want heat in your warehouse grow just hang a few mars 1600w panels in there and that bitch will heat right up for ya's just like hps lol.
Heating is expensive just as much as AC.

The main point of this debate is support your claims. If your not gong to do that there is no point in being here.
Again, COBS are efficient, but the price is 2-3x a DE with the same yield. Sure you spend some on HVAC, but with COB you spend on large scale heating. Evens itself out.
Have no ides how you cannot run numbers.
You didn't even read what I wrote, you're going on the ignore list, buddy. I did offer support for my claim, you're a waste of everyone's effort. You're not running numbers, asshole, you're making blind assertions. I would spit on your shoes, if I met you. You have my unconditional disrespect, now.

i guess it depends on where you live.in my spot it costs about 40 dollars extra a month to heat my house during winter but during summer its about 150 extra to cool it.im on natural gas though i could see if your heating with electric it could be similar to a/c costs.warehouses are generally heated with gas though.

I do not accept your assertion that use of COB LED lighting requires additional heat, period. This notion could only spring from the head of someone totally unfamiliar with what HVAC actually is and does. The only time this might be the result is if your HVAC design team consists of Larry, Curly & Moe; The Three Stooges.

And yes, I'm fucking proving it.

THAT PROVES NOTHING!

LOL
idk ty,his pics are pretty nice, plus none of them are sideways and upside down all out of focus like most the shit you post lmao.he said he pulled 1.5 from cobs and seeing his pics i believe its doable.more so than your tiny lil 28oz plants or whatever # your using to impress these days lol.can you please not act like you know everything about growing just this one time and let the conversation progress ? edit for the smilie :)

He was being facetious, yo.

Do any of you have an example of a non-scrog cob grow? Similar to Subcool's quadrant approach?
Are cobs best suited to scrog growing?
I believe that SCRoG is the preferred yield maximizing technique for indoor cultivation of many species, cannabis included.

COB LED technology is simply better at lighting SCRoG'ged spaces than any other form of lighting, due in large part to its directionality. That the light sources themselves can be custom designed to create an even array with short distances between source and screen is the killer advantage.

Lol tty, you are not proving anything. Don't be so silly.

It's a well known fact amongst pros that led requires additional heating to match hps in reasonable climates lol. Tons of research from real horticulturist lighting experts and universities who proved that on small and large scales (1600 kwh) , including more honest led companies... But because it's somehow interpreted as led slander you fanboys try to downplay everything except par w eff....

WOW^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^..............................congrats grower:clap:
 I get it now... You are all still in a phase where you need a pat on the shoulder if you managed to finish a grow cycle with cannabis and without hps. Whether it's mite infested or premature harvested overfed and about to rot is not a problem apparantly.

This isn't a grow journal, it's a discussion about led vs hps and as long as people post poor results and unhealthy plants it's only fair it's pointed out. It looks freaking horrible apart from yield, fine for personal use I guess but I would have a hard time selling that shwag.

Tty's grow is "wow" though, but not in a good-wow way lol... Just pathetic. I know you led fans love your delusions but how some of you dare to speak about experience and results while not being able to finish a crop decently is just so over the top ridiculous.

Where the hell is that dead horse @sunni , I don't think we beat him enough...
There are many different aspects to consider and discuss when it comes to hps vs led, and new info will continue to become available. The only dead horse is led par w efficiency. Don't be such a collaborator, if you don't have anything useful to contribute to the thread just bugger off. Cutting the head of this thread will make two others appear anyway.
