Wassup y,all

I'm glad to be back at it, but this time I'm growing a couple of plants from some bag seed. A buddy of mine had some chill, non-paranoia inducing, schwag that had seeds. So I picked them all out and brought them home. I, also, couldn't find my seeds that I bought from Nirvana, however, I honestly did not want to grow Blue Mystic Auto again. It's a pretty finicky strain, and if you shock it, you lose valuable days in growth. You can't give them nutrients, as well. I wanted something new, something I can train, trim, and prune, and have a little more control with.

Yes, I have control issues...

Right now I have two seeds going under 4, 23 Watt CFL's and one huge reptile lamp for the UV Rays. It's in some fire organic soil:

Analysis
    • 1.6-1-0.6
    • Total Nitrogen (N) 1.6%
    • 0.152% Ammoniacal Nitrogen
    • 0.1% Nitrate Nitrogen
    • 0.408% Other Water Soluble Nitrogen
    • 0.94% Water Insoluble Nitrogen
    • Available Phosphate (P2O2) 1%
    • Soluble Potash (K2O) 0.6%
    • Calcium (Ca) 1%
    • Ingredients: Coco Coir, Peat, Redwood, Compost, Alaskan Humus, Castings, Cinders, Perlite, Bat Guano, Mycorrhizal Fungi, Alfalfa Meal, Blood Meal, Kelp Meal, Feather Meal, Bone Meal, Sulfate of Potash and Greensand.
    • Derived from: Earthworm castings, Alfalfa meal, Blood meal, Feather meal, Bone meal, Humus, Kelp meal, Sulfate of potash and greensand

Yeah it's bad ass shit.

Below are the two plants i'm growing, in which i just top dressed it with Azomite. This will be an Organic grow with the exception of Superthrive, however none has been used. The one of the left is 21 days old, and is looking like a male with the spacing and leaf structure. However, there is a genetic defect with one of the leaves and looks like another blade tried to shoot out but was in the other blade as well. I know it sounds complicated, but maybe it's because i'm high. who knows. The one on the right looks very promising at 23 days old. The nodes are just now starting to grow, but the leaves are big and green. I'm really like the one on the right.

I don't expect both to be girls, but in case that happens i'm still going to keep it. Whatdya think? anyways I don't know when I'll flip the lights, it has another week before it's a month old. The nodes are just now growing, but it has been swift. When would you recommend I flip the lights, without it out-growing my case? I really want to scrog the hell out of if, but that would take time, which is ok, but again filling up my cab.

Thanks all for the reading this and here's what you've been waiting for... Pot Porn... eh not really

Happy V-Day kids

I like your set up. Any way to get those lights closer to your plants though? I thought people were exagerrating when they said to put your CFL within four inches of the plant but ever since I did mine has shown a lot of growth. Looks healthy and green so far, though I think a little small. Have they been topped or trained any?

Yeah i thought about moving it closer to the light, but i'm ok with the size as for right now. I'm a little worried that it's going to out grow the case, so here in a 2-4 days i'll be flipping the lights. I will admit it's premature, but just to err on the side of caution, is ok with me. I'm LST'ing it, instead of scrog'ing it. But i'm not totally throwing out the idea of a Scrog. Now that both plants are bent over we'll see how the nodes grow in, and then i'll put the screen on.

A friend is taking care of the plant, but i'll tell him to move the plants closer to the light. I had to take out the UV light tonight because the temps were at 88 degrees. Although no signs of heat stress, I went ahead and took it out, and replaced it with another 23 watt CFL.

I'd like to keep both plants in veg for another week, I just don't want the plants to out grow the case. I have a suspicion that the plant on the left is male and the plant on the right is a female. This is only my second grow, so I don't want to go on looks alone. I think if we put the screen down, it' will give us some time.

All advice and/or criticism is welcome

I see! They'll double to triple in size during flower, keep that in mind when picking a time to switch. I don't have a whole lot of experience with LST, but the way you have them going see if you can tie the new growth down one more time after it turns up a little, make them occupy those empty spaces on the right and left. That's what I would attempt in your situation though.

Wassup y'all

Just need a little help with cloning without hormone gel

I'm not going to be able to hit up a hydro shop until Monday and I need to switch the lights to 12/12 because the plant I'm growing is growing fast in a place where room is sparse. So I'm planning on cloning the tops to encourage more lateral growth as well as slow the growth down just for a second. With that being said, are there any other kind of nutes that I can use with the water for cloning cuttings?

I was planning on putting the clones in Peet Pellets that are soaking in water in a cup. I have Super Thrive, kelp (I've read you can use it, but I don't know if it works) and of course bloom and grow nutes, as well as Garrett Juice (molasses, humus, Apple cider vinegar, etc.)

Can you clone fan leaves? In pretty sure you can but just want to make sure. Thanks!

Alright I have decided not to clone. I need to have the process all planned out and have all the materials. Also, it will put me back a few weeks.

So I decided to flip the lights to 12/12.

I'm also having some heat problems, as well as humidity. I'm going to figure out the heat problems, as far as humidity goes, I don't think my friend is doing a full watering, or is his house just dry?

Anywho, they are a month old here and hopefully we'll know the genders here in a week.

Enjoy the pics

Looking good I'll be watching this not to far behind u. But no nutes..any sagestoins??

I don't know if you need any :bigjoint: It looks good right there. I've sorta used nutes... Garrett Juice and topped the soil with Azomite, but for the most part no.

Also you might see some cotton looking things on the leaves. it's not insects, but i guess there was mold in the mix that i made for a friend to water it. He left it out too long and it formed on the top. He watered the plant with it and found it afterwards. They come off real easy, but hopefully it doesn't kill my plant, which I don't think it will.

Day 32, Flower Day 3

Wassup Y'all

Tonight, I pulled the tops of the plants down as well as installed a screen and some carbon scrubs on the back of the case. I set up the screen, although I may lower it, but definitely not raise it. The nodes are growing a little slower than I'd like them too, but it's growing under CFL's, so what are you going to do. I think i'll give it some grow nutes next feeding just to supplement the stretch and growth. The temps have been pretty high from 88-91. My next project with the grow box is to install a 130mm fan, above the lights to take out the hot air coming from the light bulbs. I have heard of negative pressure, so with more outtake fans would that really effect my grow? I'd also like to move one of the intake fans a little higher. As this is a budget and small, stealth grow I'm choosing to utilize and augment as much as I can with the case. Taking the temperature down a few degrees is worth it. I also put a couple of carbon filter scrubs on the back of the case to filter the smell, but to also block any light from entering in through the fans. They are positioned on the back outside of the case so hopefully that won't effect the inside temperature, will it?

Hopefully I'll know the sex of both plants in a week, but other than that i'll just be tucking away

All questions, criticism, and advice are welcom

Enjoy the pics

Hey man I really liked the first grow and this second one is coming along great, plants look really healthy :weed: I think negative pressure is the way to go if you're using carbon scrubbers, because then the only air going out is going through those scrubbers. Positive pressure is good for keeping the air blowing out of the cracks and stuff, so the only pressure coming in is through the intakes. This is idea if you've got filtered intakes and are trying to keep the area mold/pest free, but then you're having unscrubbed air escape, which could be a potential stink problem if you're worried about smells. Also I really like the rectangular container you've got her growing in. I need to find one for my cabinet!

Day 35, Flower day 6

Wassup Y'all.

The temperatures have dropped down to 82 degrees which is awesome. I didn't have to install the fan, so that saved some work. Lifted the screen off because it's just not needed right now. The bottom nodes are growing slowly, while the tops are pushing up. I'm trying to redirect the energy to the bottom nodes, but as long as the tops are still shooting faster, I am going to tie them down. Right now it's hitting a huge growth spurt so i'm supplementing with some Garrett Juice, Superthrive, and half the full dosage of 5-1-1 Fish Emulsion. The soil is good by itself, but I can't not tinker with it.:eyesmoke: However i'm seeing some small holes in leaves, which i have pictures of and will show you. I'm not seeing any webs or any white bugs. My friend did bomb the house, but took the plant outside and kept it out there until the house aired out. He has a dog and that bitch is a flea bag.

At last a funny anecdote.

Today I took an exam in my History 1301 class, and one of the questions was for me to define and explain the "Stono Rebellion" that happened before the American Revolution. Honestly I've never heard of the rebellion or the story so I made my own:

The Stono Rebellion was the first American Rock 'n Roll band that was comprised of half colonists and half Native Americans. Their name comes from the experience in which they felt after smoking Wild Hemp that they stole from George Washington. The band was caught and tried and executed because of Drugs and Thievery. This was the first tragedy in Rock 'N Roll History.

Yeah it's cheeky, but I was amused. Hopefully my professor is too.

Enjoy the Pics.

Thanks for the props and advice.

I'm not too worried about stench. the plant is growing at a place where smell is the last thing you'd worry about. If anything it'd probably make the house smell better than it does with a wet dirty dog living there.

Dank nice grow! I'm really liking the modifictions in the box, is that Panda film? Like always your plants look super healthy, nothing to worry about. :D

Sub'ed, sub'ed, sub'ed, I'm really intruiged about the flowering.
Thank you dude! Yeah the Panda Film makes it look more "professional" rather than ghetto, but it reflects and is all around cleaner and more reflective. I'm still coming up with more ideas, and thinking about how I can improve this case. I really want to upgrade, but right now I don't have the means, the space, or need for it right now. Maybe in a year or so, who knows.

Day 39 Flower Day 10

Wassup Y'all.

The plant is still exploding and the nodes are really starting to get some height on them. I think I see a ball sack, but it's too small to tell. It's also on the plant I was guessing would be a female, so hopefully it's not a sack. Other than that, plants doing great and i'm tucking the tops down as well as the fan leaves that were blocking the light. I hope both are female, but i'm not counting on it. If both are Males, then i'm shutting things down until I buy and receive feminized seeds. That would be upsetting, but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the process. I'm always learning. Anywho, enjoy the pics, and next time I'm back, hopefully i'll know what sexes they are. Cheers.

Yep it's a pollen sac. Found a lot more today and nothing on the other plant. The funny this is, is that I thought the one that turned out to be male was going to be a female, because the node structure was really tight. The other plant that remains to reveal it's gender was very lankey starting out, but since has grown a lot of nodes. I'm really hoping this is a female, but I have my doubts. we'll see. here are more pics after the chop
