Marijuana-Seeds.nl - What Breeders?

I just bought some White Widow and Bubblegum from Marijuana-Seeds.nl and then realized I had no idea who the breeders are. I know they say they get them from "the top dutch breeders" but that means nothing.

I emailed them several days ago and they haven't bothered to reply, not a good sign.

So, anyone know where they actually get their seeds from?

I was thinking about getting some from there so let me know if you get them and about how long it takes .... if you can.

Well I got this response back from them:

There is no original breeder pack, they are especially bred for us by a network of top quality breeders in Holland.

So in other words they have a bunch of guys that bought seeds from good breeders, grew their own, and produced seeds. You have no idea of quality since you have no idea who's seeds they are and how good a breeder they are.

Needless to say I won't buy from them again, even if I get great seeds, since I can't be sure they will be from the same breeder the next time I order.

Oh well, live and learn.

I have never had a problem buying from marijuana-seeds.nl. It all depends on what your buying and from where. Obviously if you want to buy seeds from a website you need to do research before-hand...not after the fact. WW seeds that are legitimate are hard to come by. Most arent the original that everyone thinks of.

SEARCH THE FORUM BEFORE YOU BUY! Then you wont have problems.

I have bought several orders from marijuana-seeds.nl and the phenos are all very consistant. They are the best genetics I have had. Granted, my experience is very limited and I am not trying to compare their seeds with the best breeders out there. All I can tell you is their germ rate is 100%...I germed 3 Afghans got 2 females...I germed 5 WW and got 4 females...I germed 3 AK 47 and am waiting on their sex...germed 3 Mazur and got 2 females...germed 2 East Sativa and got 1 female. All plants are very healthy and the Afghan is the prettest plant I have ever seen.

For a grower just wanting to grow some personal meds and doesn't want to spend a fortune on seeds, I highly recommend them. They are next level in my book.

I have found that just because something costs more does not mean it is better. Why pay 200 for something that you can get for 100, unless you just want to brag about how much you paid for it.

I have been really interested in marijuana seeds nl too....how long ago did you order? I have never tried Northern Lights as a smoke. I always wanted to too.

Well, I think the main reason I want a "name brand" is because I want to make sure I'm getting as close to the mother plant that was the award winner as possible.

I do not know this for a fact but I'm guessing what marijuana-seeds.nl does is buy their seeds from a group of small growers that have bought seeds from the original breeders. These secondary breeders grow the seeds and pick mothers and fathers from the small sample they have. Using those parents they produce clones that produce seeds for resale.

The problem is these seeds are an extra generation away from the award winning mother. And since they are using a group of people to provide seeds the seeds will be different every time you order.

Hell, the seeds you get from them might even be a knock off of a knock off. For instance you order the Jack Herer thinking you're at least getting a second generation from the original Sensi Seeds (I mean they even stole the picture of the Jack Herer bud from the Sensi Seeds website!) but what you really got was a second generation Nirvana Jock Horror from some asshole that let it get too hot and now his mother is prone to hermie but he doesn't know it since he's only growing the plant for seeds anyway and never notices his females often have male parts too... and now you have that asshole's seeds.

So, that's why I want name brand seeds.

Not to mention the secondary breeder may have a bad mother plant with some bad phenotypes and now you're stuck with them too. If you had seeds from the original mother plant you could at least plant some more seeds till you got a good mother.

All that being said it doesn't mean you can't get an excellent plant from them; I'm just saying if I'm going to pay $50 for a bag of seeds I might as well get name brand seeds.

Thanks for the kind compliment but I have learned just enough to stay out of the way of the plants. All I do is give them love and nutes and they do the rest.

The last order I placed was 3 weeks ago and I recieved them in about 8 "business" days. I can't say enough good things about them. Good luck.

Speaking of marijuana-seeds-nl and your experience.....how is the communication in your opinion? Are the free seeds just as good as the ones available for order?

Communication is good, at least via e-mail. I have never had to call. As far as the "freebies", they are as good as the seeds I have purchased. Again , the germ rate is 100% and that Mazar is some dank herb. Big thick buds with a very nice taste. It will put you to sleep...very strong indica high.

I am currently getting around 70% females from their stock with consistant phenos so as I have said, you can't go wrong with these guys.

I guess asking where they get their seeds does not discredit the fact that so many people have good things to say about them. Also recipes are full of secrets especially from the source. Maybe that is what makes a good dish so tasty, you know what I mean?

Although things change and people make mistakes.....

I have yet to communicate with this distributor as well.

Nope, not the ones I got. I got the Mazar x Afghan and they were tiny, crap seeds. Clearly they are the free seeds because they can't sell them.

So far 66% have germed and they are growing really weakly; tiny stalk, tiny leaves, slow growth.

But hey, they were free.

Exactly I get good seeds from em.
100 for 35 seeds is great to me.
High grade strains too.
Even the free seeds are good adn all u have to do is but one pack from em.

And out of all the seeds I have bought from them, only 1 didnt germ, and I have received at least 90+ beans from them
