24/0 is great but...

I'm not a botanist, but I'm pretty sure that this claim of "new terpenes" is bollocks. What if you wanted Blueberry, not something new? I'm not a geneticist, but I'm pretty sure that's just selective breeding, bro. I submit that you may not have the requisite scientific literacy to really understand what you're saying. I don't either, but I'm not making claims, I just know how to spot logical fallacies.

International Space Station, yo?
selective breeding creates new strains. these "new terpenes" can be as new as my Chihuahua from a wolf or coyote

there are many patented plants we eat today that aent found in nature and unique...take a simple grapefruit, a delicious hybrid

You can only select from the gene pool you have. You don't have much new stuff with the modern strains. Modern strains don't cause the uncontrollable laughter I get with my Mexicans.

sounds like you just grew out a bunch of brick weed..no hate though. you can find good bud from mex weed. but new strains can be even better. you can selectively breed potent landraces and still have similar cannabinoid ratios but different terp profiles

I have a weird thing going on and if you could provide some serious info that would be cool. No bull shit to impress others. This plant has been in veg 24/0 for 3 months. I have no idea whats going on. I have her in flower right now and she's doing great so far for 22 days in. Im just stumped here on why she looks like this in veg.
If u ever kept a mother plant you would know..
Mothers after they mature will look like that. Dosent mean shes gonna bud but it means uve kept her in veg mode for a while.

I live in Colorado. I can get real cuts of any clone only I want. Show me one modern strain that will make me laugh like an old school Mexican. Show me a recent strain that has a pungent road kill skunk smell like my TX shoreline. I am not being sarcastic. I breed for happy effects, laughter, real skunk smells and pine odors and I am always on the hunt for those traits.

Not true. But thanks for trying help me figure this out. I really want to get to the bottom of why this plant is throwing so many pistols in veg. Ive been doing mothers for roughly 10 years now. Yes they all show the female part at the internode, but this bitch looks like she's fucking budding. Any other ideas would be helpful.

I have grown deadhead before. When you select a keeper from seed try and select plants that are not early to show sex. The problem is genetic. Being rootbound doesn't help, so please transplant. Deadhead is a great strain but you have a pheno that shows sex early.

ya i got tx shoreline too and lots of landraces.. not sure who your trying to convince. that doesnt even really pertain to my post. my pointbwas you can alter flavor and not cgange the high, obviously terps hit receptors but yiu know what im saying...i think.. where do you think skunk came from, its a hybrid. you can selectively breed for awesomeness not just cross with indica. even landraces arent exactly the same. my wolf comment, mutations arise

Try taking a clone and making that a mother. Some people keep the same mother alive because they believe in the myth of genetic drift. I flower my mothers and have multi generational plants that are super healthy.

So its interesting you say that. I did keep 2 plants from those beans. Both i mothered out and the one i haven't showed a pic of showed sex but not to that degree. I have 2 cuts in flower now one clone from each plant. So ill know soon enough which one will be the keeper. Your thoughts please.

I don't believe in genetic drift. Ive had the same fire og cut for the last 6 years. Clones to moms clones to moms. No changes ever.

The best road kill skunks happened when hybridization was pretty new. Shoreline is the absolute best example. It has been crossed with many things only to have offspring inferior to the parent plants. Crossing shoreline to a sweet or fruity strain totally kills all dankness. I think flavor and odor has a lot to do with potency.

for what its worth mondo, I've had some plants do that, but mine were more equatorial. cannabis is a "facultative photoperiodic" plant. and when doing this it really wants to flower. especially with equatorial strains getting almost the same amount of light year round. they like to go by age but also arent used to the amount of light hrs we give traditionally in veg.

my penny. i dont know anything about that strain

^ root bound can also aid this heavy preflowering

Keep an eye on the pheno late to show sex, this will probably be your keeper. Also phenos with good structure and close internodes spacing is what I look for in pollen donors.

The thing is the slut thats throwing out all those pistols does have the closer internode spacing. The other one which ill show here is showing more of an og viney stretchy plant. So here is the one that showed sex late.

The thing that sucks is some strains get stuck like that. Growth slows and you even get single finger leaves sometimes. I had a strain like yours and finally got it to reveg by increased nitrogen and interrupting the dark period a few minutes each night. You can't interrupt the dark period since you are lights on 24/7. If you can't pull it out of that state with nitrogen and transplanting, cull it.

Dude what???? My wife would fucking loose shit if i killed that plant......... Shouldn't i just let the 2 clones off the 2 mother plants let me know whats up? I mean thats why we do this right?
