New to this site my grandpa used to grow since he was a teen did it until he passed away this year. He was so in love he got am article in high times in 96. He taught me alot these last two years and we always wanted to get a nice 4 by 8 tent and test out a bunch of bizarre strains. He always wanted to see how fast autos were and wanted a nice tasting strain due to alot of autos being less potent. So we ordered some thseeds bubblegum autos a tent and a new dimmable 600w light and his 400w hps I have two that came up and im doing this grow in his honor. He lived to our outdoor harvest of some bag seeds last thing he said was that smells nice as I harvested the last sativa that finished late. He died later that night. Now I have all the things we planned to do and I want to get the best results possible. I can't find any good info on enhancing my autos they are in a 15 gallon bag style pot with humbolt mix, fox farm fertilizer adding a light feeding of mutes in my watering I don't know how long they will take to finish they sprouted out of the pots on November 12th started flower already maybe almost two weeks now would like feed back if you have tried this strain and tips to help improve density and weight. Thanks sorry I rambled first Christmas with out gramps and he was the closest person to me. I wish he could have seen the race to grow the bubble gums had.

growing with grandpa .......nice

ok to do a auto .......u need to increase the food u offer it ......keep the light at 100% power (those 100% 75% 50% ballast are not good for the bulbs and it alters the lightwaves it admits

feeding is what u need .......this plant is really tall with not much leaf out put ....the soil is off it did not get enough food at set stages

so feeding now is going to really help it .....also with it feeding like this the stems are not going to take the weight so be ready to tie them off to the stalk

ideally u want to use a mix of organic and chemical feed to get the most out of the plant
right now u need double dose of bloom a single dose of grow ........hit it with b-52 and rooting for 2 weeks also u going to want budcandy (advance nutrients) and honey(from humboldt) and the fox farms powders all 3 of them

bud candy and the honey u use in every watering ........hit it with open seame for 2 watering then move to beastie bloom for 3/4 watering in a 2 week period half power str .....then run cha ching half power until (every 3rd watering) about 10 days before u cut ...u stop all chemical feed

budcandy honey and organic bloom is ok to use until about 3 days before u cut last watering use nothing but water ......give it 24 hours of day light then 48 hours of darkness cut and harvest the plant should be clean good smoke (organics are the key for that with just little chemical for the power)

Great story and I think this is one of the best reasons to start a grow!

Those plants look a bit stretched but maybe it is just too early and because that is an auto bubblegum strain it can get really big(for an autoflower). I would also advise to run that light on 100% and increase the nutrient feeding but be careful as autoflowers usually need less nutrients than regular strains.

Well in the future you should look up LST,it will do alot for your plants productivity. You will force them to grow bushy with alot of tops vs tall and lanky with just a few tops and alot of popcorn.Wish my grandpa would have wanted to grow weed with me,youll have to roll an XXL blunt out of those to smoke in his honor.

Thanks man. I can't express how grateful I am for your help and for some one to share so much info. Alot of people don't like to share tips like that! This grow means more than any other grow. First one on my own with out his help, and it's all the seeds we picked out to try. There's definitely a few things I'll message yoh about when I have some free time. If you don't mind me asking! He was the only person I ever truly looked up to. He always said I had a green thumb. My dream is to send an article of his story and high times story and get in a mag or website and frame our articles together. He taught me alot but left before he was finished. He always said knowledge is power and once you learn something no one can ever take that away from you. Again thank you a million times over. I will post some progress pictures soon aswell.

Picture of the two bubblegum short one up front and tall on in the back is leaning towards the camera over the short one and tied of to a chain to keep it low enough under the light. Also uses some yarn to loosely tie all the buds around the main cola to the stalk.

All those pictures are of the plant we separated from the garden and he used it to show me how he would train and tactics he used all on this one plant and I'm not religious or anything like that but it's crazy that as the plant grew and we twiddled with it when it came time to chop he told me damn buddy that smells great! Those were his last words he passed about twenty minutes after I finished hanging and cleaning up my mess. It was almost symbolic the passing of the torch and it turned out to be the best yielding, smelling, and potent plant of the garden last fall. Wish I could have seen his field from his high time article

Thank you for the comment and input definitely was worried about stressing the autos and really screwing them up. I hear burning them with lights, nutrients, or worst case breaking a branch or topping will stunt their growth alot affecting size and yields
