Hey everyone just wanted to let you know this dive thinks its ok to charge me $150 for smoking in my room when that wasn't the case. I was in the room spinning one up to go have outside when I left the room I ran into the maid. Anyways the morning I go to get up and find a letter under the door that $150 had been stole off of my credit card due to smoking. Wtf so I went to the front desk explained I was not smoking in my room when this bitch pulls a picture out of a piece of brown leaf or some shit from the bathroom floor !!! Wtf so I said that's your proof then this witch says well your room smelled like marijhana lol so explained I have a medical lisence she still wouldn't take the charge off!!! What a fucken joke

They tried that to me in Vaughan. At aloft. I didn't smoke in the room. But it just smelled. When questioned me about cannabis. I said ya its in my pocket. I said I didn't smoke nothing in your hotel. Why do you think I kept going outside. Then I said why are u discriminating against me because of my choice of meds. I said if I had a bottle of oxy, Would be diff eh. Then after my scene the manager came. I repeated the same spiel all while customers in the lobby. Well it worked they can't act like that towards us. To make good I got a free nights stay out of the deal....assholes!

If you were smoking in there according to her then why didn't the fucking smoke alarms go off. That's what ya should asked the bitch. No smoke. No fire. No fire no reason to steal your money. Call corporate head office and fucken tear them a new asshole. If they still maintain the same excuse tell them that they need a fire inspection done since clearly the alarms didn't detect you "smoking". No evidence then they CANNOT charge your card. Unless there's some newly written policy that states VERBATIM that you cannot posses Cannabis in the room, they should reimburse you or tell them they'll hear from your lawyer and corporate.

I've smoked plenty in hotel rooms and never once did the smoke detect go off.
Maids and neighbours always drop the dime now and it's a he said she said deal.

when i left canada, i had everything packed up and ready to go the night before and so i had to stay in a hotel room that night due to having to give up my apartment and keys back
so i booked a room online at the days inn

NO WHERE did it say that locals were not allowed to stay there, and never have i ever experienced such a rule in my life
ive stayed in other hotels of that specific chain when my apartment was flooded or when our house was being renovated back in the day

anyways so theres a non refundable 90$ fee for the room, i go bags ready to check into my hotel room for them to ask for ID i hand it to them and they say
"no sorry no locals" i said well technically im not a local anymore im moving, and i have a flight tomorrow to alaska, but i had to give up my apartment so i chose to stay here for the night
this guy goes on and on about NO to locals, so i ask to speak to a manager because i feel this situation is different and have already paid for the room in full plus a portion online

tells me no managers and see ya later basically.
so i walk down the street to the delta, much nicer classier hotel anyways they have not a single problem lovely people
and loved staying there, but i sure as fucking dialed that 1800 number and i got my money back

I had the same issues with no locals when I had a day between places to live.
I believe they put the rule in place to keep the crackheads and junkies away who hide there to get high.
No sharing when nobody knows where they are...

My friend just told me she stayed at horseshoe valley resort last summer and had a smoking room. It was sort of a suite with kitchenette type room...smoked away and zero trouble because it was allowed.
