Most everyone saw their deductibles go up.
The majority are not seeing your results. ACA caused a more than doubling of my deductible and a 25% increase in what I pay to include my wife on my policy. Bad part is my wife has RA and I had knee surgery so the deductible is what bites. $3000 before ACA. $7000+ with ACA. Obamacare bites.
how about car insurance? so your deductible is $1000 on a car worth let's say $30K. you paid $7K for ACA on a surgery that cost what total?

the deductible is high because your insurance provider is still making record profits.

and if the ACA is repealed, guess what? your wife can be denied coverage because she now has a pre-existing condition. oops!!

I had to pay my deductible up front or the doctor would of not agreed to do my knee surgery where I had it done last year. I wonder how people with subsidies and high deductibles can even use the health care? That is starting to look like a scam from the start. If you got a 5K deductible to get an affordable plan and you are just getting by, how the hell can you use it if you don't have the deductible saved up?

I guess someone would eventually take care of you, like an emergency room. And then what? you have a 5K or more bill following you the rest of your life. Some People actually think they got something good I guess.

what was the total cost of your surgery?

the US is the only country in the world where people have to file bankruptcy because of exorbitant healthcare bills.

guess what? when you crash your nitro harley, don't you have to pay your deductible first before it gets repaired????
What? repair a nitro harley? fuck they are hand built by people that ride them. Insurance companies don't insure one off race bikes.

I wasn't at this vegas race, but I have qualified number one at this event before and didn't win it though. check out this vid of my friends and their bikes and tell me if you would insure them.

The knee was around 11K and total out of pocket for me with a 750.00 deductible at the time before I had to down grade was about 4700.00 total out of pocket for there estimate. Now my shoulder that I just had done last month was 24K and I paid max out of pocket of 6500.00

I can afford the total out of pocket but how do people that are just scraping up enough each month just to get by do it?

Thats the part I don't get. Why sell someone a affordable policy and then make them have to pay a huge deductible they can't afford in order to use it?

What it boils down to is it should just be free for everybody including me so it doesn't look like such a scam.

Oops is right.
Pre-existing conditions were not always a roadblock to getting insurance before the ACA and it also was an area Republicans in congress also looked to address in 2009...you know if Obama had included them in the discussion.
BS on your profit statement...many have dropped out of ACA (and more want to) because of it not being profitable. Glad it works for you but it sounds like you really have not worked it. My deductible had not changed in 7 years prior.

The health care I had through the state of Oregon , had no pre existing and never changed a dollar in the five years i had it before they quit the program because the ACA was taking over. Now it goes up in huge jumps. BarryO didn't lie to the whole nation, but he sure lied to me.

Like CNBC and the rest of the mass media, you just make this bullshit up?

I know of no one that has filed bankruptcy for "exorbitant healthcare bills". I do know of plenty of people getting free medical care, ignoring their financial obligations, cheating the system, which the local taxpayer ends up paying for.

We have the best health care system in the country but it's getting screwed up fast because of guess what? Yep, government intervention, laws, and regulations. The way things are going there will be a shortage of doctors. With no brain surgeons like the good doctor Ben Carson, who is gonna do the much needed lobotomies on all these wacked out liberals? Pot sure as hell aint helping.

My healthcare sure had a preexisting condition blockage and when I came down with my autoimmune disease they tried to dump me. I used to have to pay ~$298.00 a month, now I pay ~$140.00/month. I'd have to pay upwards of $10,000 out of pocket a year for the medication I have to take, now I pay a $30 copay when I visit to get it.

What sucks even more is when some of the nations top economists say ACA is a success, the Journal of the American Medical Association reports that more than half a million adults have had “significant” improvements in affordable health insurance, access to doctors and medications, and overall personal health. Even recently the Washington Post was saying that ACA was a success https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2015/09/21/the-success-of-the-affordable-care-act-is-a-hugely-inconvenient-truth-for-its-opponents/ (but I guess now everyone's going to jump on the Washington Post as being liberal media bias when the Ombudsman of the newspaper said, "The opinion pages have strong conservative voices; the editorial board includes centrists and conservatives...").

He isn't "making bullshit up" about the United States having some of the highest healthcare costs; it's a widely known fact.

If you want to wait in pain for 3 weeks to have an appendictomy in a Turkish hospital, you go fer it. ;)

You get what you (or someone) pays for. Nothing's free.
