so i got to watch the whole thing..and what a bunch of stiff losers..sgt.carter, o'malley and frank perdue.

that bullshit about chaffee's vote..i was new, my father died..at least 3X referred to this.

so who voted for 'patriot act' and more importantly..who didn't?

who doesn't like guns and more importantly, who does?

bernie makes me feel secure, you can't pull the wool over his eyes his rabble rouser performance was pretty solid, just not what we are used to thinking our president should be, but is that bad? i say no, he's just different he'll calm in time..hillbill is sketchy at best with platitude-esque solutions..she's also wall street..'i went in there and told those banks to stop it!':lol:i almost half expected to see her stamp her cloven hoof..

Bernie makes me feel about as secure as ObamaCare
Bernie makes me feel about as secure as the borders
as secure as Isreal
as secure as a little boy in Afghanistan
as secure as Lamar Odom in a brothel
as secure as the Dalai Lama with a female Dalai Lama replacement
as secure as Hillary Clinton's State Department servers

I work in healthcare so it added a bunch more administrative work for me personally. What it did to the rest of the country was spend all of the health care equity we had on a shitty bill, so now doing something to actually dismantle the insurance/big pharma/hospital corp trinity of power is gone. We decided the best way to fix the problems were to further entrench and empower them.

Only an idiot would think we fixed problems caused by insurance by mandating that everyone has to have insurance.
Then be an advocate to help try and fix it instead of complaining, call or write your congressman or woman and let yourself be heard, in the meantime Healthcare in this country is no longer spiraling out of control and folks who just didn't have the means to get health insurance before now have it (30 million plus).

The ACA isn't perfect we know that so why doesn't congress try to fix it.
BTW it's not a bill it's a law upheld by SCOTUS twice.

You should be able to destroy the point I made then. You criticize the pub congress for not doing enough when you know you wouldn't approve of anything they do. There's a word for that...

"I sure wish they would do more shit that I hate"
or
"That party that I would never vote for is not doing enough for me, they suck!"
Oh please, be real you probably checked already and found that in fact the pukes never accomplished anything, give it up already. They're only good for obstructing that's it.

I did call my congressman before the vote on the bill. My congressman even came to my hospital and met with us. He spent an hour campaigning, not listening to a word we had to say other than bill = bad. It was obvious we were talking over his head. He voted no for the bill as a Democrat (Jim Marshall) but was voted out in the knee jerk reaction by the US to make sure the dems couldn't hold all 3 branches at once.

So yeah, I did try to do something about it, but fuck head pom pom wavers like you made it impossible. "we gotta pass the bill to see what's in it" was good enough for the cheerleaders. You guys had no clue what the bill was, you just repeated the shit you were told to repeat like the BS that 30 million plus now have insurance that couldn't have it before shit you pulled out of someone's ass.

War in Iraq, Patriot Act, Port Authority Act, UGEIA, to name a few "accomplishments" the pukes have passed. This is what I'm trying to tell you about bitching about them doing nothing. You should be cheering them for doing nothing because when they do something it generally sucks. It was a pub congress that repealed Glass-Steagall that led to the financial genius of cdfs. You really want more of that?

Stop repeating what some angry lib told you on the View and start thinking for yourself. This country is better off when these fools do as little as possible. Of course you will claim all dem bills are righteous but that's because you have that partisan fever. Look how you defend the ACA, "yeah it sucks, but fix it instead of complaining about it". Thanks dickheads for at least finally admitting it needs fixing after 20 "fixes" already. Read a book or something.

Social security was also sold as a lie. The country was told it was a like a whole life policy, that's why it's called insurance. It's nothing like insurance.

Can you explain how SSI sucked at first though? That's a new on me, how have they improved it? We used to have 14 workers contributing to each recipient, now it's 2. Sound sustainable?

nope..bernie even mentioned this..guess who else did on debate night?: no one.

do you know why it's not? of course not.

it's because wage base limit..so the person making $500k or $1M contributes the same as the person making $118,500.

just another one of those little 'loopholes' where the wealthy do not pay proportionate amount of tax-to-income ratio.

now you will tell me why this is just, ala rush, glen and faux spews..go!

Sweetheart. You know I "adore"you, but can you see how Bernie's economic plan costing 18 triliion might be a bit of a problem?

First tell me why you think Bernie is the first one to talk about it? It's been part of somebody's campaign for 30 years now.

Hell, the most sensible was Gore in the 90's calling for a lockbox.

Did you know the person making 1M a year will collect the same amount as that person making 118K? Remember, SSI was sold as a whole life type plan, you can try to make it as progressive as you want, but then it no longer fits the original design.

Btw, don't think I don't feel you reaching into my pocket here. Maybe I should just let you tell me how much of my money I get to keep instead of how much you want to take from me. It sounds less thievery that way.

So how much of my money should I get to keep and how much of it are you entitled more than me?

Sorry all those bills were passed under Bush NOT the 112th or 113th congress.
You seem to be having trouble coming up with something, let me help you they never passed anything to help American families. That seems to be their game repeal something, but everytime they repeal something it winds up hurting Families. Dems are no angels but they at least pass bills that HELP Families not hurt them, when was the last bill repealed by Dems that hurt Families?

Holy shit are you missing the point. All of those bills are shit bills passed under pub leadership. Why on earf would you want more? You don't do you? I don't believe you actually want more of the crap, I think you just want to bitch at "those" guys.

We should be happy they haven't done more is the point I'm trying to make. If they did more, you wouldn't like what they did, they are pubs after all. Stop wishing for them to do more shitty things. If you are mad because they won't pass shit you like, you need to realize it's because they don't represent you, they represent people who think your way is shitty. Notice those people came out in big numbers and defeated your agenda, they didn't bitch that the dem congress didn't do enough, they were smart enough to not like what they were doing and vote that way.
