Rules from the 6th cup comp stand!

Here is a basic outline of the rules for this competition.

the following: strain name, nutrients used,
Light source used, media used and
Germination date. (Day of sprout).
*
Germ date and strain name must be written
on the cup by first post.
* Party cups(16oz 473 ml) only, no other sizes and
no transplanting permitted.
* Roots must be confined inside the cup and any
roots growing outside the cup will result in
automatic DQ. Trim back any stragglers. Contestants
will be subject to root checks in between weekly
postings if requested by me.
* Any indoor light source allowed, no changing light
sources one started (with the exception of a burnt out
bulb). No Sunlight.
*
Participants, registrants, host, and sponsors may vote
on winner(s). Start from seed only. No Clones. No

12 week sativas highly discouraged, we
don't want to wait for these to finish. 12/12, 13/11, 11/13

plant for entry once sex has shown for all 5.
* Germination window begins 8-5 and ends 9-4,
No exceptions
*
Weekly updates mandatory with picture(s).or you're Dq'd

Hydro, DWC, automated watering, soma style and any other non-standard, non-dirt
type growers:
These methods are accepted as long as the roots are in the confines of the cup.
Again root checks may be requested by me at any time. No cheating will be tolerated
period! Like last comp any suspected cheaters will be held against a community tribunal
For judgment. As far as the difficultys of finding a 16 oz cup, all I can say is start looking now.
I know this has been a sticking point but we've had 6 comps with this size cup and we've always
gotten through it. Let's not go through 15 pages of " where do they sell 16 oz cups". Get creative in your search, they are out there.
Whether you're a seasoned veteran grower or a newer grower just starting out, I highly encourage
You to enter this competition. We had a great turnout last time and I'm hoping for more. It will be fun for all who enter. Good luck to everyone and lets have a good time this round. Bring some fire
People!
I want to thank Rollitup for allowing us to do this, our great sponsors and friends. I want to thank our previous host @FrozenChozen, all the participants, especially those who voted for my entry,

And one more thing you know the old saying, " Go big or go home".

Good luck everyone and let's get started!

Na they don't have the necessary growing skills to compete. I however will be doing my whisky-a-go-go-grow. Which will consist of various 1960's and 1 current bar glass swag. I plan on doing a 6oz aquaponics using a 6oz Schlitz beer glass. I also will be doing 2 dirty fingers grows. 1 in a 4oz whisky drinking glass and the other in a shot glass. My plan is for the 6oz aquaponic system to provide nutes for the other 2. Challenge :hump:

understand why you want trimmed roots, but I would NEVER trim roots while deep in flower.

I'd suggest you modify this rule to have trimmed roots at flip.

invalidating long flowering sativas caus you do not want to wait is dumb

It's up to the grower to decide if they want to trim roots or not? I don't trim my roots. Oh, I think I understand, the rules just mean no roots outside the cup, they will usually air-prune hem selves though so I wouldn't worry!
And you can do a long flowering sativa, just germ early. If you check the last two competitions there were people who had to bow out because everyone else was done and they still had several weeks left. So you do you.

I'm in for sure @Socalrob! Going to have to break out some expensive beans instead of freebies this round. Have to decide what I have that everyone would want to smoke, thinking Wifi, Cotton Candy, Tigers Milk, Or some kind of super-color changer

this only means keep all roots inside the cup, no stragglers growing outside of cup. Only those need to be trimmed back. Also long running sativas caused problems in the last two cups with everyone having to wait on one or two entry's. I ask you to consider the other contestants in this comp. if you still want to go that route pop at the beginning of the germination window.

I'm down to join in again this go around, time to use some good seeds tho and hopefully they finish with everyone else. My damn cup from the last comp is still going and still in the 16 oz cup haha, hopefully it'll finish soon so I can use my 5th cup.

^^^^^^^^^^^ This is what I mean when running a long flowering sativa, @nvhak49 's plant is still going and were already starting the next comp. Remember to consider these things when planning your strategy. Upsetting fellow voters should not be a part of your plan. I really want to see a great competition so please consider everything and plan well.

Hi everyone, because of something that happened in the last round, I'm treading lightly concerning some things that have been happening over the last 2 days. So for now I can't tip my hand yet concerning these but in due time I will share some things that should boost your competitive spirit. I will say though if you're on the fence about joining this competition, trust me you will want to be in on this one.

I'm thinking about some pineapple chunk. Got some other day and the taste was sublime. Unfortunately I don't have access to any super duper exclusive strains :P

Definitely going hydro this round. More familiar territory,
