How is this argument still going?? Wage minimums are necessary to keep slavery from restarting.
Looking at the title of this thread to what some of u are bringing up is hilarious.
If you honestly think a $0 min wage would help ur business or country you are an idiot and should pack up and move to a communist country.
But California is running out of water, why move there?

Can you show me the erm, "power of attorney" the "social contract" arises from?

Also, you said a person can consent to another person acting on their behalf. That is an argument FOR my argument, not yours...dumb dumb. You are the one on the side of the argument saying consent can arise in a situation where no actual agreement took place and there is duress present.

I think the Skunk Ape hit you too hard, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had such a girlish inability to take a half hearted tap. Hit the gym, you need it.
Boring.

You posed the questions, "Can I give your consent for you? Can a group of people give your consent for you? How does that work?".

The answer to those questions is, "Power of Attorney".

And you're debating that? Your troll technique is slipping.

Sure, I'm cool with it. They got themselves there by hard work and brains. It's not like a big fucking ping pong ball lotto wheel spun around and their numbers got picked. That's what capitalism is, and how our country runs. Socialism and communism are more for equality, but not capitalism.
Your funny.
Having worked at a very exclusive country club. I can tell you most of them got where they are thru connections and money

I'm sorry. I'll try to do better. Here's a picture of my sister to make it up to you.

That's you consenting to paying the tax

A virgin is thrown into a volcano. She knows that virgins might be thrown into a volcano, everybody in the village knows that. Her virginity is proof that she consented to the firegod. WTF?

Lysander Spooner is holding on line one sir... Should I tell him you're busy again or will you take his call?

So does not paying people a decent wage make the water come back? If people arent paid decent wages no one would work there and that would mean less money in the overall economy right.
Some of you guys would have made perfect mayors for the thousands of ghost towns all over north america were you used slaves to suck every dollar out of an area and just move on to the next town.

The purchase of the car is the desired transaction. It was consensually made with the person that agreed to sell it for an agreed to sum by the buyer. Two parties make an agreement, both consent.

The inclusion of a third party saying they are involved and they have added a fee (tax) is not part of the willful exchange of value for value between the original two parties. Initiated aggression of an unwanted party, duress created.

I do not believe in slavery. It is immoral and cruel. I'm betting in real life I am one of the kindest people you could ever meet.

All people should be able to interact with others on the basis the involved parties set. If they cannot agree to a peaceful and mutual basis they should leave each other alone.

I reject your offer to be Mayor, I am the Emperor of myself, you are too.

So why are you cool with it happening to the majority of the workforce?

Not following. You mean I'm currently paying $.93 of every dollar to them? That doesn't seem right. I know where all of my money is, and it's currently not like that.

They've earned their money. Whether they've invested smartly or worked their ass off or had a brilliant idea, they're there for a reason. Sorry, you'll have to explain the link to me, I am going back to work, gotta get ready for tomorrow. No time to read that. I need more money so I work harder for it. No secrets. Like lebowski said, the bums will always lose! I do 2 shifts a day in our busy times, one is 5-3, the other is 6-midnight.

Why do you expect people to do business on gov. land for free?

Like I said before, are you going to let me live in your house without paying rent?

We're not going to see eye to eye on this, you refuse to acknowledge ownership of the state and government controlled land because you believe you own it and therefore you should control it. Well, you're wrong. The government owns it, and because of that the government has the same right you do when you charge me rent to live in your house when they levy taxes to live/do business on their land.
