The positive, economic effect of lowering the minimum wage to $0

You buy a home, you consent to pay the property tax. You buy a car, you consent to pay the sales tax. You work a job, you consent to pay the income tax..

Where in any tax is the absence of consent?
the only involuntary tax is a capitation tax, a tax just for existing. asians in california faced this for a while when whites tried to run them out of the state after the gold rush, but i can't recall anyone else who has faced this type of tax in america.

When you sign the W4, you are consenting to be taxed. If you don't want to be taxed, don't sign the W4.

Oh Robby, you so silly!
Not exactly true. Yes, you can not sign it, but the IRS suggests if a person won't sign a w4 that as an employer you should withhold tax as if the employee is single.... So basically you will get taxed regardless of whether you sign it or not.

"Employers are required to remind employees before Dec. 1 each year to submit a new W-4 form if their withholding allowances have changed or will change for the next year. If the employee does not give the employer a valid W-4 as required, withhold tax as if he or she were single with no withholding allowances."

Who is forcing you to work at a place that does that?

A minimum wage of zero would be a white supremacists worse nightmare.

Such a law would be quickly followed up by other laws allowing more Hispanics to fill jobs with ever decreasing wages.

Shit businesses would be flying in Chinese if the Mexican wants too much

You are really dating yourself there Robby. Meathead, back when you were a child, 80 years ago, meant "dummy". Today, it means something completely different.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=meathead

I have a business, two in fact. Both, the people who work at said business make between 3 to 8 times minimum wage. Both businesses are doing just fine.

I know several local small businesses that provide unique prepared foods, no more than 5 employees at each place. I've met most of the employees and the owners, all the employees make a living wage, closer to $20 an hour. These businesses are doing quite well.

Gilbert and Chandler, maybe it's Maricopa County, I'd have to double check, sets the minimum wage at $8.15. The local Dunkin Donuts by my house pays their employees a starting wage of $10.05.

You need to stop being angry at the world dude. Have some respect and compassion for people. Paying people $7 an hour is an insult and borderline slavery. Gas is $3 a gallon, and a typical lunch prepared at home costs about $4.00. 1/8th of your daily wage is gone because you had to drive to work and eat food.

Think man... just think.
Easy to say whatever you want online....

Would you like to prove you own 2 business where you pay 3-8x minimum wage?
I would love to see proof.

Most "small" business don't have the capital to be able to pay 3-8x minimum wage, unless the owner is working for absolutely free.

My small business, I make just a little bit more than my employees and spend much much more than my employees, and most small businesses I know ( and I am around many small business owners) just staying above water is hell of a job.

I have never seen someone running two businesses who can spend virtually all day long on a politics section of a pot site..... but yeah man I believe you!

Nope, never consented. Have you ever been arrested for rape? You don't seem to understand the concept of "consent".

Maybe he doesn't run a lawn care company and doesn't have to spend all day pushing a lawn mower

Say what? Kids don't bring their taxpayer funded school lunches home, they never make it past the garbage can. Thanks to the gov. nanny millions of tons of food are thrown away daily by bratty kids who won't eat their healthy serving of baked chicken and broccoli. They want pizza and frito chili pie.

Gov. needs to get out of our lives. Mandating a minimum wage is nothing more than tyranny and a perfect example of how public employees screw with private business. You can't blame a corporation for using a good solution such as out sourcing labor to Mexico, Philipines, and China. It only makes good business sense....to those of us who understand business. ;)
Deciphering...

"Kids are fat, thanks Obama! Instead of raising minimum wage we need a republican or Hillary Clinton to export jobs. The end."

Hey God.

When my wife turned 62 she would of only collected 160.00 per month because she has been a house wife most of her life so I started

paying her wages and after 8 years it has gone up over 1100.00 per month. She will turn 70 in less that two weeks and will collect her first SS check. Every little bit helps. I wish I would of started paying her wages earlier but better late than never.

Hey Nitro,

Glad you found a method to make it work for your situation. Our wives are going to out live us for sure.

I'm going to take the early payout as soon as I'm eligible. I'll take the hit for the early pull and invest the funds. If everything goes as planned and with a some luck, I should come out ahead without having to work the extra eight years. We'll see.

How's Hawaii this time of year? How's the humidity? You got the "shine" on you? How's fish'in?

Are you on the west or east side of South Point?

Hope you're enjoying yourself.

Taxes ARE taken without consent in many instances. Please don't rationalize or cite a "social contract" which is such a rationalization that when somebody asks to see it, it must be admitted it is invisible.
Taxation is legalized thievery as are any gov fees. Stay tuned, talk radio has brought to light that Obama and his cronies may be currently designing laws, mandates to get into your 401K savings. They'll steal everything they can get their hands on, distribute it to shitheads, and take the credit for being "compassionate". :spew:

We have to take this country back and get the liberal low lifes out of our pocketbooks and business records.

Speaking of records, how ironical that Hillary has been caught in a few lies about the ONE now TWO personal email accounts, the fact that she scrubbed thousands of emails erasing important data about Benghazi, the fact that she violated office protocol, the fact that she has a foundation with sponsors of questionable character and business dealing contributing huge sums of money to the Clinton foundation.

Then there's the social holier than thou bullshit spewing this crap about equal pay for women while she paid her own female staff 72 cents on the dollar compared to her male staff.

scum......

Ever checked out the hidden fees in your telecommunication bills? Look at your phone statements and question the junk fees. Call up your phone company and get the usual "we have to collect them as mandated by Congress". My old land line had 40% in junk fees, shit to buy little Maria a computer in south Texas. These thieves find ways to grab you by the balls and not let go. The only way out is to not report some of your income as a business man, find and use loopholes, etc.

I hope we get a Republican in there who will abolish the IRS in lieu of a flat tax or consumption tax and allow individuals to take all or part of their social security contributions and invest it themselves, as they see fit. The feds can't even manage "Unaffordable Healthcare" or USPS much less keep their hands out of the SS coffers.

Add insult to injury, Congress is not required to pay into the system. Can you say "rigged"? I knew you could. ;)

I own a business (restaurant) and there's no way I can pay people $15/hour. I wish I could, and I am close with some who have been here a long time but that would fuck me up. We're barely in the black at all and break our backs to keep the place open!

Oh Robby, you so silly!
and at that time can re-negotiate if you'd prefer to be an independent contractor by completing a W-9 which will garner you a 1099 at the end of the year and can do as you wish in reporting taxable income..

unless of course your job description is 'employee status' then you would need to sign a W-4..the IRS doesn't allow you to categorize yourself, you must meet a series of test questions.

the IRS is not a very friendly group.

you are a cash business so i understand this..

may i ask the basics?

seats, type of restaurant..how many employees..demographic?

EDIT: you would never pay anyone $15 because of the sub-minimum..but you can guarantee they will may the equivalent of $15/hour through the sub minimum..you would just make up the difference per hour if they didn't meet the $15..don't you think they make about that?..if i worked a dinner and didn't make $15/hour tips and sub minimum, i wouldn't be serving in that restaurant anymore..non-profits and restaurant were my specialty; they're different payrolls than a regular business.

Hey God.

The humidity is very high right now, winds are calm and over cast. I haven't been fishing for a few days because the wind is not blowing hard enough to get my kite up in the air.

Yes I am on the east side of the point. I am getting ready to drive around the island for a couple days with the wife and the dog, and end up in Kona for a day. There is a great restaurant at the harbor in Kona we are going to stop at and have some Ahi poke. So anyway we are having a great time. Hope you are doing well.

i just feel that a fed government is not needed, the state government should be the highest form and communities should come together and regulate themselves in accordance with their states laws. in that way people could better voice their opinions about policy and political parties wont grow to strong. and stop worrying about individual rights, and focus on Environmental Human and Animal rights; these are the fundamental rights that the fed government are violating on a daily basis ordered by corporate America. While the cause distrust among the common people so we wont come together and throw them out of our country. there isn't anything wrong with America there is something very wrong with the ones running America, and its time we stop playing their game.

What does this have to do with white supremacy? I think what op is saying is minimum wage doesn't matter. IMO people should be paid what they are worth right? However there are companies out there that would have the opportunity to take advantage of employees. But again if you don't like the wage you can leave. That is the beauty of America there are tons of places to work for.

Our company pays people fairly and if you're good you get paid well. That is because good work really is hard to find.
