Is it worth investing in LED?

I am fairly new to growing I prefer organic grows and am beginning to invest in some high end grow equipment. I wanted to reach out to any growers who have used LED and seen a noticeable difference within there grows. I know I can save a lot of money in the long run with LED, as far as electricity goes. However does it really make that much of a difference in quality and the amount I yield? And if so, where is a good spot to shop for LED equipment?

Interesting...again you call someone a name...a strawman. All the while saying leds grow airy buds...then someone puts up a obviously dense bud...

I really think there's something in those LEDs that's fucking with your brain. You get offended by the fluffier* comment and think you can use my words against me and make another douchebag attempt to convince others I'm the douchebag... You guys are so busy pretending to have any credibility that you automatically assume I care about your slander... If there's anything you could know by now is that I really don't give a fuck about your butthurt judgement. All mere petty attempts to repair shrimpdick egos. I'm way above that, you're a little piece of scum compared to me. And that's not because I'm on a high horse, but you're just being such a fucking lowlife.

And it's not name calling... Putting up straw mans (name of a typical fallacy) is factually what church has been doing since his meltdown for whatever issues he's dealing with.

*One of THE ways used to increase the GPW relatively is running at lower ppf than hps. If I run my 400watt mh (about the same output about as a 315w cmh) on 3x3' I get more gpw than when I use a 600watt on the same space. Less bud, but higher gpw. If you want to know why that is ask Supra to post that little graph again... and ask him at the same time about bud/cola size under LED and HPS... Everyone can do that, with LED, or HPS, yet you guys think you can derive self esteem from it...

See GroErr's thread for example, good example. And again, nothing wrong with that if you grow for yourself or small scale. I don't even see why you get offended. I said it's a typical downside (not even of led really, just lower ppf. The most efficient pff gpw-wise simply does not lead to most dry weight from a given space, ask your leader...) and sure not something every LED grower/setup encounters.

Spreading ppf beyond what I consider optimal combined with running leds soft leads to higher gpw yes. It's like you all get pissed off for pointing out that elephant in the room...

@Sativied You must live a very boring and pathetic life. Seems like you just wait on these threads to pop in and spew your nonsense.

Why do you even come to the LED section? You don't use LEDs, and you obviously know absolutely nothing about them. You're just making an ass out of yourself. But hey, if that's your thing, be an ass, call names like you do, and show everyone what you're like.

Get a job for fucks sake, go outside, get a life....

I think some of us are a little anxious to get our hands on the new COBs, that's all.

I was guilty of messing with @Greengenes707 on the other thread earlier but I think he took it too seriously. You can tell he's an ole' fuckaroo with no time for shits from the younger generation.

I still respect him though for what he's given to the community in terms of data and information.

Anyways..
It is hard not to blame him for being cranky at time TBH. Look at the crap he deals with from folks here even though he is probably doing the most science based comparisons I have seen. @Greengenes707 is someone I wouldnt mind toking bowls with and talking shop.

Actually, I think we started fighting when you started bitching about the new laws in amsterdam on that stubborn old man's light thread, as if we don't also have retarded politicians in the US. No, in Asterdam, you are special... but not nationalists... You must deny your nationalistic tendencies!! It's the law!!

Oh another retard who thinks petty attempts to insult make someone else a douchebag, classic.. Making up all that shit so desperately while barking up the wrong tree just makes an ass out of you. Well, not really, you probably were an ass already.

Get a brain, get some fucking decency and grow the fuck up.

Again, did you know it's possible to run a lower intensity of HPS too? Simply use less total wattage of HPS per square foot. Done.

This is not new to LED tech... and should be obvious to even noob growers. One thing I learned recently from @Uncle Ben (yes, I really just tagged him), is that you don't need ridiculously high light intensity to get a good yield.

If I could go back in time, I'd actaully use less wattage in my old HPS grows. The amount of power I used to use was overkill.

Not surprising you don't have a great memory pretengineer. Though that does seem to be part of your desperate attempts to prove me wrong after your initial metldown. There's clearly something wrong with you mentally, such delusional accusations and petty slander attempts are clearly beyond butthurt. And you ask me how old I am... "you started"... lol

That "stubborn old man" is a better grower and better man than you will ever be.

So you call names when people don't agree with you? Let's see, I'm now a "retard", an "ass", and a "douchebag". Things you would most definitely not say directly to my face. You hide behind a keyboard and try to ruin people's days with no repercussions. You are a coward. You are small, weak and pathetic.

It turned in Trollagedon.

I actually thought his first few posts, on page one, were tame, subtle, and informing. I suppose others would say I overlooked something?

240W of vero 18 at 700mA is all you need for a 2'x4' tent. You don't need more light than that. You could call it a trick, but I call it the recommended intensity for 3 foot plants. about 12W/sqft of PAR

That means 480W is more than enough for a 4'x4'.

With my new top bin cxb design, 400W is enough. I'm already using my 193W cxb lamp now in another 2'x4' in parallel, and so far the new girls in flowering look stellar.

Add "punk bitch" to the list of names you've called people.... Again, something you'd never call me to my face in real life.
Oh.... yeah, you grow C99... yeah total mind fuck, known to induce paranoia, get some indica and calm down...

More delusional and petty insults from a.... let's see, a cowardly, weak, small, and pathetic keyboard warrior passing on random judgement. It's not that I don't agree with you or disagree, it's just that you are a little punk bitch who thinks he's in a position to judge me, while being such a major douchebag himself. Hypocrite.
