Who Locks Threads?

I finally get to some prices on that FC Opto COB

Aleseh finally gets around to helping me past my ludicrous LER calculations...almost.

Just beginning to make real progress and someone locked the thread. What is locked, here, In LED land?

Do the trolls just continue to pollute the threads until they are closed?

I.

It doesn't really matter about the PC crowd here. I got what I needed. If confrontation was what they needed they got that, :)

This can be a troll bait thread, as well as any. :)

Anyway. Here is the extent of the help on the Specific request so far.

Just drop the nonsense efficiency value you produced and replace it with an appropriate one. And no, efficiency is not input power divided by LER as I have, hopefully, pointed out earlier.
--------------

Good idea. I just drop that one. OK.

Next?

Just put in another value.

Good idea. I just put in another. OK.

Next?

I'll figure it out. You take the input value x 2 dilithium resonance heeps + ?

I made a nice FYI post in the How to Power Them thread. Here is part of it.

Your first design choice is:
- passive cooling
- active cooling
- hybrid passive-active cooling

And Aleseh put a LIKE on that so I thought I was on to something.

I guess you are not suppose to try to calculate things out first, though. The first biggest troll was PRESSURE.

Build they DEVICE! Listen to US! Do it our way! Why did you calculated density there? All these challenges that really don't amount to help and actually has another name. Trolling.

Can't answer it yet as we don't know the COB's current x relative luminous flux curve. I guess it's around 30% when run @600w.

My thread got locked because it was trolled. And I didn't go troll any build threads.

Yes, I did. And I want the trolls to take your advice. Be more careful when arguing with me. :)

It's really kind of funny. "Acting like an ass." That is seriously close to name calling and is, in itself, inflammatory trolling.

So, it is kinda funny. I make a thread about new LED tech and the trolls come in acting like asses and get the thread closed.

And now you say it was me? So who really is acting like an ass? :)

thought id throw a idea out to you doer, give you something to think about seeing as how you hurt my head,I don't even like LEDs,,as tech progress's they may do ok, but tech in other lighting progress's too,
that being said you ever hear of a vortex tube for cooling?
it can get temps down to negative 20 F,if you want to freeze it you could, works off of compressed air,The hot air it gives off as it separate's needs to go someplace though,
someone is making a carbon fiber type air tank that can hold 10K lbs of pressure,
if holding enough volume it could run those tubes for a long time,
at one time there was a compressed air car that got like a 1000 mile range on compressed air,

Well, no. I have not heard of that. Wow. Sound like it harnesses nature. Yeah, I study tech, and I study it often in forums with other techies, like my motorcycle supercharger project.

And I know there are other light sources on the books, at least.

Thanks I will look at that :)

Say What?? I had no idea. :)
