I know you won't, and neither will the other deniers because you choose to be willfully ignorant and espouse denier talking points because it's a lot easier than actually learning and they confirm your preconceived bias.

Multiple places throughout the planet have faced meters in sea level rise leading to environmental refugees and displacement. Tens of millions of people forced to leave their land because of sea level rise, considering what we know of turmoil and displacement, what do you foresee happening to people in these types of situations? What would happen to agriculture and livestock? What would happen to national security?

Therefore the planet should now stay exactly the same as it was between the years 1950-1985, and any change from that is due to mankind and a tax will prevent change from happening, and if change keeps happening, then an even higher tax will be needed, and more and more until everything regresses back to that period of time that we like best.

You are dismissing the scientific consensus without providing evidence to support your belief in a global conspiracy requiring tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people.

Earth has warmed in the past due to different reasons, that's true, right now the Earth is warming because humans have been adding carbon dioxide to the biosphere at an exponential rate for over a century. So what does the previous warm periods have to do with the current warming period?

I started the sentence admitting the Earth has warmed in the past naturally, then asked how that applies to the current warming trend. I'm assuming the argument behind this talking point being "it warmed in the past, so how do you know the current warming isn't natural, too?", the answer being because the rate of change is significantly faster than what we would expect to see if the change in temperature were caused by natural forces. Natural forces are still, and always, at work behind the scenes, but the current trend in the increase of temperature is unequivocally man made. There is no doubt within the scientific community.

I'm wondering why a fellow pot enthusiast wouldn't show a little discretion to someone who is trying to "lay low". It's not really a "sock account" when the whole forum is aware of what's going on. I prefer the term "alternate account". But then again, I'm not a snitch.

There are other mods involved here. Just because a thread disappears doesn't mean it was Mr. Black. As you sit and "wonder" what's really going on, maybe you can open your eyes and actually pay attention. At that point you just might get it.
