A dispensary charging $4/grm . Sounds great, right ? Then I read the fine print. $4/gram plus a $1/gram dispensing fee. Plus shipping. Huh ? I'm just a newb but this seems odd.

Can I post the link ?

Lol $1 a gram dispensing fee..... Hilarious
Why. Because they can.
I hope the entire mj market gets flooded and they cant give the shit away.
Like in Jamaica in the late 90's me and a buddy bought a lb for $50 us and we couldnt give it away before leaving so we left it in the hotel hallway

I realize it's a gimmick, just wondering why they are insulting our intelligence?
I hate gimmicks. Especially the stupid cards. I have none of them. My wife has dozens of cards from different places. I think it makes some peeps feel special. Like they are part of a club. I dunno. Good to see MJ prices falling tho.

You think $35/gram of oil is bad ? There is a place a little farther up from Langley charging $75/gram for oil. Not hash. Just oil. And they couldn't tell me the THC levels. For $75/gram I expect that shit to come with a passport, pedigree. and 4 generations of DNA analysis.

The pricing death spiral is well underway. Either sell for super cheap or have top shelf quality.

The most successful will be those who can manage both.

Again, I'm new. I'm not a cannabis consumer. I purchase on behalf of my son.

It seems to me that some of the dispensaries are just as bad as the LPs. I get it - people run a business and they should be able to make a reasonable profit. BUT when you present yourself as a purveyor of medicine and encourage patients to access your service based on medical need ... FFS ... There is a lot of predatory patient recruitment and marketing practices and it isn't just the LPs who are benefitting.

I know of a half dozen large shows that are closing down, with the uncertainty of the court case. Commercial supplies a lot of the dispenceries, which will have a harder time finding product. I already see adds on Craigslist, CC's looking for cannabis. Not sure we will see too much of a price drop if any.

I am just watching. Predicting that as the rec legalization makes it more popular, especially this fall with the outdoor crops coming in. There could be an oversupply. Maybe I'm wrong. Won't know until the fall. Now I'm talking wholesale. Not retail and taxes.

Prices are already way down. At the wholesale level anyway.
I know guys sitting on lbs of good meds because the market is flooded and they refuse the sell it for under $1500 lb

And they are still making more because it's becoming more and more legal. Folks are going to be growing everywhere this summer.
