ventilation help please from experience

ok I think you just helped me solve my problem A++++ rep for you if I knew how I am going to go with the sunleaves wind tunnel 6" especially considering its like 4$ more than the 4? ... Wtf by the way ... And could u recommend a good controller for those fans I've read alot about controllers burning out fans especially when dialed down
and by less drag with PVC you do mean more flow right ? Just incase

Fan controllers work fine. Never heard of them burning out. If the price for the 6" fan is comparable to the Hurricane fan I mentioned, go with the Hurricane. The controller for $20 works great. I've used them with my fans and they work great.

And by "less drag" I do mean more flow.

.. Please correct me if I'm wrong but in simple terms in just trying to make the closet the same temps as the bedroom ?

the hurricane is 20$ cheaper.im not worried about the air movement sounds I'm more worried about the "hum" from the fan and from what I've researched the wind tunnel is highly rated for being quiet

Correct, but you'll get to a size where going any larger won't make a difference. You can go a little larger than the 4' x 10" but I don't think you'd need to go much larger than that.

Check out the db ratings. Hang your fan with bungee cords instead of mounting. That will eliminate any hum. That is a common practice for noise reduction.

Reading reviews it looks like the sunleaves may or may not be quieter than any other fan. But, hanging any fan with bungee cords with eliminate lots of noise and running the fan slower with a speed controller will help as well. And, insulated exhaust will help. It should act like a muffler.

It's got plenty of cfm (little less than the Hurricane) so it's up to you. Either should be fine.

Couple more final pieces of advice:

• Mount your fan inside your cab if you can. This will also help isolate sound.
• When you get ready to cut the drywall for your register, use a stud finder so you go in between the studs.
• Save your cut drywall. When you move, mount the drywall back in place, mud the seam, and use some spray texture to blend it. There are plenty of places online showing how to replace a piece of drywall if you haven't done that before.

ok thanks a ton seriously and I don't think ill have the space to hang the fan in the box again it will be trial and error which is why I was going to build a smaller insulated box on top of the main box with the fans opening facing down and up like I said still trial and error with that

Just to clarify, put your eye hooks in the ceiling and use a bungee cord to hang your fan from them. There's no specific way to hang your fan from the cord, just wrap it around the mount whichever way works best.
