my bud smells like rotten eggs

It's only the top cola. I was told if it is root rot the soil would smell too. The soil smells like soil and the plant has shown more growth. This is my first grow. The Critical Kush is nears it's harvest time.

smells rotten probably is. There is also something called bud rot. If the bud is large enough and the humidity is high it can happen pretty quick. Look for browning of the bud and rip off any contaminated area. Get your humidity in check as moisture will continue the unwanted condition.

If its bud rot it'll smell like grannys musty old attic...or basement. In big buds it can be hidden deep inside the bud.
Hope thats not your case cause bud rot sucks big time. And yeah, humidity control and air exchange are key in preventing it.

I hope its just nothing. I swear sometimes my fruity chronic juice smells like a dumpster at Wendys, but after cure smell/tastes like a fresh cut grapefruit. Sometimes the terps can give off weird smells at diff stages or not.

I have looked in the top cola no browNing or mold. Wouldn't bud rot stunt the growth.

ewwww lmao, I hear ya there - I threw my ramen noodle pheno clones out, she shall not return after harvest. My gf knows what plant I'm playing with by how I smell and the other day she said "stop playing that nasty thing" lol - had to use iso to get the smell off my hands

Jesus has touched your plant so try not to fuck it up . Otherwise it would be something called the terpene profile of your plant or something like that that.

I've got a Pineapple Snow plant that smells exactly like an old Pina Colada that a little monkey took a dump in and I can't wait to grow it again.
