I was thinking the same thing.
He certainly has the qualifications to be nominated.
Personally I think he just makes oodles of money doing personal appearances and dictates policy behind the scenes.
You think he would have a chance at being confirmed? I do, and yes, it frightens me a little after hearing some of his legal justifications for things like fast and furious.

I think that Eric Holder is an ideologue. As such, I dont think the money matters to him a bit. Besides, the life of a supreme court justice does not exactly need to be spartan. They are paid well and the power that comes with the job is a perk in itself.
I have no idea of the politics but plenty of people do not like him. What could happen in a lame duck congress after the election? I dunno....

I think Holder is just tired. If I remember correctly from reading today, his tenure is the third-longest for an AG. All top White House and Pentagon posts are riddled with unimaginable hassle and pressure, as is evidenced by the abnormally fast aging of the people who hold them. Obama looks like a corpse compared to his youthful look in 2008. George Bush aged 20 years during his tenure.

Yes, so do I. I think he's probably a good guy. I just found fault with some of his AG decisions.

Can an AG, when ordered by the prez. used his department to support a foriegn CIA war and then supported and.I believe, still supports the cover up, be confirmed to the supremes by the US senate? Will he fall on his sword to keep it buried or would he be confirmed on the orders of BOTH parties leadership to keep from damaging our pristine international relations and reputation? If he is nominated I'm thinking a lot of lies will be exposed,

Thanks for replying.No, I'm talking about Fast and Furious.Please read my post on page ten of the thread "A great explanation of why our country is going into the sh**er and help me coax this out without sounding like a nut and having people poo-poo a story that needs to be exposed.
