I went straight to the papertowel method i took six kush seeds and put them in a wetish paper towel then into a plastic bag. i then put them on a heat mat and set it for low. its been around 4 days now and nothing so i took one and put it in a cup of water and it sunk so i took it out

Sinking is normal, and sometimes they take a bit longer. I had one take 10 days, and another take only one day. I planted 8 this Sunday, and 3 of them popped the next day. Others, still waiting.

Anyway, I have been just putting them into soil and letting them do their thing. So far I've had a 95% success rate. Don't stress, some seeds just take forever.

You might have a bad batch, but chances are there will be some that pop.

I recommend the hands-off approach. Seeds are better started directly in a quality soil\soilless mix (make a shallow hole about half inch deep, cover, water thoroughly). They are best left alone like this and not between paper towels only to be handled later.

If the seeds were fresh, healthy enough they will break thru the soil in 2-7 days.

IDK what kind of heat mat you have but some you do have to be careful with. Make sure it isn't getting too warm, even on low, as it sounds like you have the seeds in a baggie directly on the mat.

I plant right into soil making sure not to pack the rather place the soil over the seed and let the water finish placing things were they need to be.

Then I take seran wrap and a rubber band and cover the container till the plant pops..

DO NOT use the heat pad to germ seeds unless you live in an igloo. you'll either cook them or get all male plants. for the best female ratio, 70-72 deg is perfect. that's the average household temp so just put your wet papertowel in a black dvd case in a cabinet and check it twice a day til they pop (or in the soil or rapid rooter or whatever method you choose, they all work fine) but stay away from the bean cookers! lol

To bad youre such a dick about things, you may learn something. I really dont give 2 craps about your opinion or sarcasm, i know what has worked for me consistantly for the last 34 years of popping beans. This person asked for advice, from everyone, not just hogpussy. So instead of being such an asshat, you can. just describe what has worked for you. Save your sarcasm for when youre in my personal space.

I too am not a fan of the heat mat, but also not saying it doesn't work for you hog. Just into a shot glass of water until they sink, into wet paper towels on a plate covered with another plate, and BINGO, never had a problem. To each his own.

Warmer than 72 is fine, warmer temps do speed germination, over than 90 however? Not sure that would be good. Temp should be relatively consistent without any wild fluctuations.

No need for any covering or dome, fill to the very top with mix and don't use anything too small for a container and the mix should retain sufficient moisture for germination (otherwise water before it dries out).

Seedling tray , Rapid rooters. pointy end of seed down.
Don't be afraid to buy a heatpad/thermostat too if you wanna speed things up

Place seeds between few sheets of wet paper towel in plastic bag with lil air way cover that with couple small plates making a lil dark dome keep them at a nice temperature if you don't have anything special just put by a heater. Spray paper towel when needed to make sure it stays moist and after a few days should have yourself some germinated seeds. Worked for me anyways
