So on Dec 18th i received my package in the mail from the UK of 10 "Critical Overdrive" the new crossed strain from Kevin Murphy the starter of the doggie nuts crew here on RIU and all around good guy , one of the best. So after i received the package from the UK i selected 6 of the 10 seeds and started to germinate them ,in doing this i also use "scarification" to help the seeds pop or crack quicker and with less effort and less spent energy . So to start the process i took some paper towel and soaked it in ph'd water of 6.8 , i then took all 6 seeds and proceeded to do the Scarification or the filing of the edge going around both sides of the seeds , then i placed into towel covered them over with the excess paper towel , then sealed them inside a air tight and light tight container and placed them near my dryer for a nice warm constant heat of 24 degrees. Started on Dec , 19 , 2011 View attachment 1947071View attachment 1947072View attachment 1947073View attachment 1947074View attachment 1947075View attachment 1947076View attachment 1947077 So my plans for this grow is i hopefully will get 4 females and two males for pollen so i can germinate 1 or 2 of the females and grow the others to fully flower and bud.I will vegg for 4-6 weeks depending on hieght and if i get the desired 4 females i will be Topping and LST'ing 1 of them and the other will be a straight grow no manipulation to the growing characteristics of the plant .The nutrient line-up i will be using is Advanced Nutrients "Jungle Juice" with the additives of "Floralicious Grow" , "BigBud" , "B-52" , & "Overdrive". I will be starting them on straight ph'd water for the first two weeks at a ph of 6.8 and a light scheduel of 16/8 CFL or T5 , so after this first two weeks i will be starting them on a 1/2 strength mix of Jungle Juice ("Lucas Formula") Micro , & Bloom and Floralicious , then I plan to go full strength around 4 weeks until i plan to flower them then i will do a flush as i flip them into flower to rid any exess salt build up etc....
So when they do go to flower i will be using a 1000w HPS super grow bulb by XBrite and pushing 145,000 lumens , also the yeast CO2 method will be used with 3 2L bottles added and changed every 10 days .So when they are flipped untill they show bud and hair production they will get a normal feeding , and when they do show i will start the additives I labeled up top in the order of BigBud through weeks 2 trgh 4 , B-52 weeks 3 trgh 6 , Overdrive weeks 5 trgh 6 or the last 2 weeks of flower.I will also during every feeding in flower doing a staright water feeding and taking ppm readings and recording them so the plants arent over-fed or under-fed in anyway so as to cause a lockout or other problems.Nutrient Makeup of Jungle Juice & Additives Jungle Juice - Bloom - NPK (0-5-4) - Avail.Potash (P2O5)..........5% / Soluble Potash (K2O)..........4% / water soluble Magnesium (Mg)..........1.5% / Sulfur (S)..........1%Jungle Juice - Micro - NPK (5-0-1) - total Nitrogen (N).........5% / 0.3% Ammoniacal Nitrogen / Nitrate Nitrogen 4.7% / Soluble Potash (K2O).........1% / Calcium (Ca)..........5% / Baron (B)..........0.01% / Cobalt (Co)..........0.0005% / Chelated Copper (Cu)..........0.01% / Chelated Iron (Fe)..........0.1% / Chelated Manganese (Mn).........0.05% / Molybdenum (Mo).........0.0008% / Chelated Zinc (Zn)..........0.015%
