Interesting question you say? Ok. Well has anyone let their plant go. . . Meaning- have you flushed it then let it go till the soil is bone dry, and the plant is dying, in the dark?

Here is why I ask. I am going out of town and I partial harvested my colas with cloudy/amber trichs. The popcorn buds are left. I can either chop tomorrow or turn the room off till I get back in a 12 days. if i turn the room off that means no light. Will it hurt?

Once a year ago I had a plant that i let go for 5+ weeks past it's due date. That smoke was the best I have smoked. I couldn't replicate it even after two more rounds of the same genetics. I have attributed that amazing stone to the ripening process.

Has anyone let their plant go? Obviously a couchlocked amber trich stone means you let your plants go past the recommended harvest date but I want to hear some feed back please.

I've let mine go almost exactly as you have described and I noticed no adverse effects.
Without the light going, the only water loss is gonna be through evaporation.
So just give her a little water to be safe, and leave her in the dark IMO.

first of all plz dont do that.
buy a timer if you wanna go outta town or id just simply chop now.
bottoms arent going to get much better anyway :)

Have you ever tried it? or are you just guessing?

I have done it multiple times to multiple plants.
All they do is get better.
I have never harvested a flower and said "I should have picked that earlier!"
I once let the bottom of a plant go 14+ weeks into flower.
Granted it was Sativa dominant, the flowers were kick-ass!
It did hermie though, at the end. But, that was my intent.

What's the worst thing that could possibly happen IYO?

hmmmm okay so we know that the THC Degrades but does that mean the THC is past the conversion to CBD? Is is too ripe?

THC does not convert to CBD does it? it either produces one or the other and can't produce lots of each. or is that CBN

THC degradation is real.
But, not real important in this time frame.

You know a 2,700 year old stah of pot, was found to still retain a little THC!

when the trichs turn amber it doesn't mean the thc converted to CBD, when they turn amber they are degrading into CBN my brother. I too, am at this dilemna, i think I am gunna let em go for a while more maybe try a 50/50 ratio this time and see if i like it better. I am assuming i will..... assumptions suck cock though.......
