Hi im in my last week flowering on my big bang by gh seeds,

they are pretty fucking stinky - looking lovely, had no problems really with this grow,

read a few months ago that some people stress there plants out on purpuose in the last week by fucking up the lighting scedule, to make them finish better ect

does anyone else do this or know anything else or any other ways of finishing that could make my ladys nicer,

or should i just keep to normal 12/12 scedule and flush in a week as normal,

I give them dark for the last 24-36 hrs. My question is - how do you know how close they are? Are you checking trichs?

Your right about that..the delaying or not watering at all on final week should pump up the crystal production...
Im planning to switch my lights off for 48 hours, and then one hour on, and then its chopping time:hump:

Have anyone ever concluded any tests about this subject I wonder..?!
:peace:

Yet when i advised someone else to do the same you said that there is no benifit to it, below is what you said.

You got that right. I have never seen any citations from any botany or plant science literature that suggests that darkness before harvest does anything for any plant.
So i thought standing on your head for 36hours would be just as effective like you said before?

What I said is correct (no scientific evidence). I never said I don't do it and I never advised anyone else not to do it (24hrs). I do it because I see no harm and because I started doing it that way and it has become a habit.

I am also planning to drain my res and leave roots in air for the same 24hrs although I have seen no scientific evidence on that either. My mind is big enough for science and superstition to co-exist.

YOu said,

So why do you give them a dark period and not stand on your head as you suggested we should?
I'm confused at your comments, it's the same question but two completley different comments from you.

I hate to split hairs but it "is" different. Good question on why I do a darkness period but don't stand on my head. Two reasons:

1) I was taught to do the dark thing and it is a habit as I said. I was not taught to stand on my head.

2) Even though there is no scientific basis that I know of for either, I think darkness probably has a better shot at making a difference and I apologize profusely for misspeaking on that.

and there's a third reason - I'm too fucking old to stand on my head! I think you have misconstrued my agreement that it is a superstition with being on a crusade against doing it. For example, even though I scoff at the idea, I often talk to my plants. I guess if that's hypocrisy I'm guilty.

I just don't get why you told others that standing on your head would be just as effective when you do not, you leave them in a dark period.

Because it is probably true that standing on your head would be just as effective. Probably just as effective as discussing this further, too.

You guys are so funny,,

i cant see no harm in starving the bitches for a few days b4 i chop the lil sluts up into bits haha

and ruining the lighting scedule? Ive seen plant buds change and grow dramaticly over night from when lights go off to wen they go on

torturing them for a few days b4 u kill em aint gna ruin anything, remember cannabis physicly reacts to stress ( like heat or cold , over watering , fucking the lighting scedule or ph problems ) can change a plant and or turn them hermi, cold makes them seal them selfs with resin, so torturing them b4 chop probably will do summin , hopfully swell up and turn even dirtyer lol
