Good day to all - i would like to share my first Volksgarden grow with everyone, though i am a little apprehensive about it cause i know from reading posts here that these units seem to create a lot of controversy. on one hand when you find something that rocks your world its hard not to want to tell people about it, on the other do i really want everyone to know now what i know. LA is a big place though so im not going to worry about the market.

i saw the volksgarden in a mag or two from the sensi seals guys. looked like we were going to have a front row seat for the show but they disappeared. maybe uncle sam has a thing about using the tools you learn on the dark side for the opposition and getting good press about it. who knows, but here's to you guys, and i hope you are all alright and safe.

i don't have a good cam but i may be getting one soon cause i think my financials are looking up. this is not a step by step grow show but an early shot and some finish shots. if it was a step by step it would be the most boring ass thing cause there really isnt much to it.

the volks is a new thing for me and i have in no way maxed the yield this time as you can see. not enough plants and turned them a bit too early, however the plants themselves are better yielding this time and they are one third the size. i also have no waste, and no B grade so no desert treats to make with the dregs, but that means it was all A grade cause everthing is a center but directly under the light.

this machine is genius! I grew this strain right before I got the wheel in a regular DWC garden. The final product was okay. And in time it looked better. However - the same strain in the volksgarden -perfect. It went from fluffy hazy in the DWC to OG Kush like density in the wheel. same exact plant. Hard nugs that were exactly what I wanted. Let's put it this way the collective I took it to (and it is the best collective in LA, ie the world) took one look at it and put it on it's top shelf because it was so frosty. Completely covered in trichomes. It looked like velvet. That means that this wheel turned out some of the best medicine in the world. Patients even went online on the weedtracker forums to talk about how awesome it was. So to answer questions about quality - yeah it improved that. Once I have the height, the nutes and the
genetics just right - this will be a beast of production. I will be satisfied with two pounds but I will be pushing for three. Oh what a fun game this is. It is a nice feeling to walk into a dispensary and have the owners treat you like a rockstar because of the obvious and hard to find quality that you are bringing them.

Oh and the work load is a joke. Aside from putting the clones in and chopping them out - the work is minimal. Once a week I change the water. That's it. The rest of the week I peek my head in to watch the show but there is no work involved. I don't prune, I don't mist, I just stare. That's not very hard. Anyone can stare. And even the drying process is easier. Because the plants are so short I can fit so many more into my drying cabinet and they aredone quicker - making the whole thing more efficient.

ITs about time somebody does an actual grow with the volksgarden. how many plants did you grow and what was the final yield? Also what light did you use? the 600 or 1000?

Oh I see... thats pretty fkn nice actually. How big of a plant can you grow in one of these? looks perfect for sea of green... Oh and how much do they cost?
They are 1500 an the plants cant grow very tall, from what i've read you can get 2-4 pounds from one.

I used a 600. I ran 30 plants. Because it was my first grow I
kept them too short. Of the 30 I only had 15 decent sized plants.
Also it was a kush plant so it was naturally a low yielder. Final
yield came in at half a pound. My next grow will be a lot more
bountifull.

I paid 2K for mine plus shipping and I can say its totally worth it

Maximus, I don't care if you are Omegafarmer or Omega Betty, I just want to know when this grow occurred and when the next is coming. Although you are right about the controversy surrounding Omega Gardens, this grow definitely attracted me further to the product. I hope to see you fill up your Volksgarden next grow and we can all see as you said it, "a more bountiful grow."

Thank you and keep up the good work.

+ rep. Great job. You have a great set-up. Im definatley gunna look into these once i get some more money. How much was the rotating assembly though? cuz im positive i could build the same thing for maybe 200 bucks. Any way, those buds look nice. You can definetly get more out of the system with nutes and all the details. keep up the good work

ban the fuck riu guy. Hes annoying. Im positive i can weld a 2 to 4 foot metal wheel with inserts for plants, and a motor to turn it, all ontop of a water tray for wick water feeding for under 200 bucks. Im gunna start workin on it

haha how much does the big boy cost. Wouldn't that be awesome to have that running low-key? Yields would be... MASSIVE!

sounds like a plan you might want to look at the foodle before you start building it rotates using the nutrient solution as weight on the inside of the wheele . Might be easier to fab that way. Google omega foodle
