In USA, you can buy a 10X LIGHTED microscope for $11.00 at Radio Shack, and it is just perfect to look at the trichomes with.

and that's BS anyways. you can look around on your plant with magnification and find clear cloudy and amber trichs throughout the whole flowering phase. looking at trichs to judge harvest time is not the correct way. IMO

Would we say that that the color of the trichomes relating to the type of high is an accurate assessment?

Then what would you say would be the best way to determine harvesting time bro?? ive always been told to look at the trichs, but if you know of an easier way to know man, please lemme in on it, lol. Not bein sarcastic here, im about a week away from choppin my Corky (a plant that was growin all slow n retarded at the beginning, but is lookin pretty nugly now :D - get it? Corky, from Life Goes On??), n i ordered a 420 scope to look at the trichs, but if theres a better tried n true method, TELLLLL MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, lol.

fdd is right with alot of straing they go thru cycling of hairs turning and the trichromes going thru the phases from cloudy to clear to amber so if that was the case id b harvesting at 4 weeks. You need to look at your plant, lok at the colors when its starts to die it uses up all available nutrients from feeder leaves it stops using its root system to feed, thats when you know when to harvest, you got a bout a week there to get an early ripe or a late heavy ripe.

The thing about harvesting is knowing your plant and looking for the signs. She will tell you when shes done but it takes much experience to understand. Yes all the books, videos and information sharing will tell us all about trics and pistals etc... which is all good information but not necessarly an exact science. Utilizing those methods normally guarantees you a good time to harvest therefore it goes into writing that the vast majority of us use.
A good example is watching our moms or grandmoms cooking. A smidgen of this a smidgen of that and it comes out fanfuckingtastic. No measuring, no science, just experience!! We follow a recipe and it comes out good but not as good....get what I am trying to say?

littlegrower....I only use that information for general info purposes. What I normally find is that it takes a few weeks more than the advertised flowering time. Sometimes its spot on though. AK47 for instance advertises 53-63 days. I just harvested my AK and it was at day 63.

Hey Roseman, I also use the bubbleponic system and love it. This will be our first harvest and I have heard you can get multiple harvests from one group of plants. I wanted to know if there is anything special to do this. All the posts I've found show people removing the buds with all the leaves. If I take off all the leaves will everything grow back for another harvest? Hope I can get your help on this.

I have a thread for questions like this, but in all honesty, I will brag about my sucesses and still be truthful about my failures and re-vegging is my biggest failure. I just can't get it. I tried 4 times on 4 different grows and I am too dumb or just don't have the patience and knowledge to do it. and in this system, they grow so fast, it is not necessary anyway.

see pages 95 to 120 for pics here:
