:leaf:Hey guys! Hope you will all join me on my first micro grow!:leaf:

The Pc has been up and running for about 3 weeks now and here are the stats

Seeds: Nirvana Northern Lights:mrgreen: (feminized)
Medium: Fox Farms Ocean Forest Soil
Ligths: 2 23w CFL + 1 30w Cfl= 76w
Started with 24/0 sched for a bit. Now 12/12 (Initially wanted 12/12 from seed but decided to let the seeds run for a bit on the constant light

2 Fans: 1 Intake on 9v , 1 exhaust on 12v

Heres a picture of the setup!

Theres digital thermometer attatched on the right hand side
Avg temps: mid 70s [Hopefully not too cold :-?]
Avg Hum: 60%

And now for the babies!!
Plant one has been growing for about 3 weeks now. Looks mangled but thats because the cotyledons were attached and hindered other leaf growth. Thought it was a goner but it seems to be moving now!

Plant two was planted about a week ago and is taking off as you see here

Hopefully things get better for these guys.

:peace:Either way thanks for viewing, wish me luck, and follow along!:peace:

I have a PC case also and the first plant looks like its got heat stress.

And your thermometer isnt giving you a good reading, Place it as close to the canopy of the plants you can, It being right there isn't giving you the heat under the lamps, Trust me i got 3 23w in my Pc case and i have a hard time keeping it under 85, Also if you can i would put a fan blowing on the top of the plants, making them dance.

Good start none the less, Sub'd

Thanks for the tip, the thermometer read 90 deg from where the plant was. I lowered it a bit and it read 85, much better. The leaves already look better :)

yeah, I'm not hating on your grow buddy..

but.. just.. its just that they look very very sick.. and underdeveloped.

That PC case looks WAY over crowded too.

Just trying to help you get better here.. that's all.

and again, its just my opinion. ;)

good luck.. your going to need it.

peace..

I hope there not 3 weeks, hopefully you had the cab running for a couple weeks before you germinated! Either way all you can do is give them water and watch the temp. I agree with getting a little fan in there to circulate the air, not only that but to stregthin up those stems! I'm new aswell but if there still growing I would give them a chance, look to be maybe a week at most from sprouting to me..

Pc case looks good though, good luck to you!

You need to gut that pc case. find PROPER fans (good CFM and maybe low DB) insulate it and you are ready. you have a lot of work a head of you.
Did you just find a case, jam pack with stuff and start? b/c thats what your babies are reflecting.
Good luck.

It really seemed like heat stress was one of the main problems from the start, but since the lowering of the plants they have been growing out a bit.. Pics will be uploaded soon. Obviously some newbie mistakes but thats what were here for--- to learn! not expecting anything near perfect for a first grow

...And now a week later with less heat
As you see no matter how decrepit it looks its still managing to sprout out other leaves

and heres the other

I'm sure if you took out the useless metal shit on the right of the pc case the temps would drop down to "normal" temps, also pc fans.

ps. subbed to see where this goes.
