Thanks for the comments! I had trouble tying string from the branches to anything at all since i dont have that much space to tie it to some weights so i just poked some holes along the trim of the pot and stuck paper clips through them and onto the branches. Can easily be adjusted everyday and moved around etc etc... much better than string imo but thats jut for CFLs i dont know if the paper clips will heat up with HPS or MH lights.
I'm also interested in the yield. This is my first grow and i dont really know what to expect in terms of yield quantity. As you can see, i have quite a handfull of bud sites i cant wait to see how they form in the following weeks.

Stay tuned!

I never thought of LST'ing with weights, like string and fishing weights? I wonder if that would work. I wanted to LST, but I didn't really know how. I couldn;t stick paper clips into soil, cuz I am in a DWC setup. Plus, I'm on my first grow, so I just wanted to let it go and see what happened.

This looks a lot like mine. I was thinking of LSTing the budsites down to the rim of the pot so we could have the rest of the height for buds.

I think ultimately I want 2 plants with the bottom 4 branches of each directly under 8 42w cfs, and like 6 26w 6500k bulbs in between the colas.

I was thinking during veg, I would have 4 26w's on the 2 plants, square on the sides to lengthen out the bottom branches to fix them to the sides of the cab where they can grow up.

x = light
O = pot

In Veg:
__x___x
x_O_x_O_x
__x___x

In Flower:
x_x_x_x
__O_O
x_x_x_x

thank you all for the continuing support on my first grow. here are some updated pictures for my fans out there =P

removed most of my paperclips and i plan on giving her a break and let her reach for the lights for a few days. if they get burnt by the lights then im going to have to switch it up asap.

I train mine like this too.
I'll make small s hooks out of papaeclips,
and hook em through the rim of my pots.
Plastic pots so easy to position them where i want limbs to be, i then loosely wrap a garbage twist tie around the limb,
and bend the limb to the position i want it in, and tie of the other end of the tie to
the s hook

Don't know if it was said, but the rubber coated paperclips work great, buffer your limbs from heat and the metal of the clip
Also you may wanna try the twist ties?
take up less room than all the clips, easy to work with, and pretty sturdy. They'll hold a limb in place very well and all it takes to move said limb, is a quick untwist/twist.
Peace

rite on man, the molasses should help with the buds and rez, but wats the deal with the red tips on the leaves?

my cabinet is pretty small and the bulbs sometimes burn the leaves if i dont rotate the plant or adjust the lights. its not nute burn for sure, i barely used nutes. probably only 3 litres worth of nutes so far inbetween waterings in flowering cycle. no nutes at all for veg stage. thanks for asking though, shows some concern and aid.

haha ya man, np, it just looked like boron to me that would suck! im about to start a little one plant hydro, see how much bud i can get off of it, whats the size of the cab its in?

thanks for the comments guys

as to your question about the dimensions of the cabinet:

Height 2.1 ft
Width 1.4 ft
Length 1.4 ft

Thats 4.1 square ft

My current lumens are = 1620 + 1620 + 2600 + 2600. Thats 8440 combined lumens.

Total lumens/Total square feet = 8440/4.1 = 2058 lumens per square foot. I know its not quite sufficient but what can i say i dont have that much room for more bulbs lol.

"Plants in seedling and clone stage require about 400-500 lumens per square foot. In vegetative growth they require about 2,500 lumens per square foot and in flowering, they require about 10,000 lumens per square foot. "
