Clear or no clear, im hearing different things, one says light is okay as long as you change wter every 3-4 days and roots will grow....others say roots wont grow unless its dark... Which is it?

Roots die in light, so best to paint it or cover it. Awesome idea though. As for when to change the water that one I have no idea on, sorry :peace:

How long does it take for them to root? Using anything in the water? What kind of water? RO, distilled, tap water, rain water??
Reason why I am asking is because I want to do the same thing, have a few clones and flower a plant every 2 weeks or so. Not looking at anything big just a nice perpetual harvest year long :peace:

Hello, it takes about a week im guessing as i just built it yeterday lol...better than jiffy plugs or rock wool ive been told I use filtered water with about 2-4 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide (for alge build up and other various things) i do dip the clones in hormone powder, but i dont add anything to the water, my one buddie who grows commercially uses a liquid that you just add to the res. i may go borrow some and try it next round.

small plastic container from Target: 1.75
2 med sized air stones : 8.00
1 40 gallon duel plug air pump: 24.00
1 3 foot tube: 1.80
3 cages: .25 each
3 plugs .40 each

I used my drill with i think it was 2 2/3 hole cutter which was perfect size for the cages.

Also i coukd have added more holes but i think three will be good so it wont get out of hand lol

Ill update this thread

Yes all three, i also ended up mixing some hormone solution in the pool, they rooted quickly .. They showed signs after 7 dats then as if today the roots are about an inch long... Im giving it another 3 days them im planting, so a total of 2 weeks
