I think thrips, what do you think?

Attached pics are from a Psicodelica, three weeks old today. I noticed the discoloration a few days ago. It seems to be increasing, albeit slowly. I've never had thrips, but images of damage on the net appear similar to this, IMO.

It's companion, a High Tension, appears unaffected so far. I know from past experience pest problems can get out of control quickly, so any opinions are appreciated.

I normally grow completely indoors but these girls have been going outside during the day. I knew the risk, but took a chance. (Idiot)

A couple of pics of the affected leaf & the whole plant.

Looks more like mite damage to me.

Thrips damage appears as silvery scratches.

Have you inspected the underside of the affected leaf?

Yes, quite carefully. I used a couple of different magnifying glasses & my trusty RS scope. Nothing out of the ordinary that I can see.
Nevertheless, I douched both of them with a tomato & veg spray (0.20% sulfur/0.1% Pyrethins). I'm going to start adding neem to my water.
Thanks for the help, jondamon!

BTW, I do see it on starting another leaf, so I hope the spray is effective. I'll report results when I have something.

spill nutes on it under a hps light ? that or mites suck the sap out of leaves. but usually spread out over the entire leaf,

No, nothing spilled. I used some neem oil & dish soap yesterday. It appears to be contained, whatever it is. I'll give it a few more days & continue with the neem.
