Hey Everyone!

First post and first grow so any advice, comments etc. much appreciated.

The Facts
I have barely any money so everything has to be done on cheap.
Im ok at a little bit of DIY but not the best at it!
I live in the UK
I only want to grow 1/2 plants at a time max (not interesting in loads of weed just enough for me)

My set up is:A DIY PC GROW BOX for a bit of stealth. A tad bit of light leak but not bad. Has a 120mm intake fan and 80mm exhaust fan.
2x CFL Bulbs Approx output of 150w (These are Ionic air purifier CFL's so these should help with odour control and they have worked from what I can tell from a general smelly wardrobe)
3x feminsed Easy Ryder seeds from Attitude.
Also I did start my little ladies under a LED grow panel. Good results for seedlings. (LED grow panels are very cheap in UK which was only reason I got one)
Bio All Bizz Organic Potting Soil
Bio Bloom Nutes

So far I have one lady about 1" approx. tall and has first leaves and starting second lot. She has just been moved under the CFL's this evening so see how she gets on. The other lady is well.... my fault might die haha. Idiots mistake I mixed up the nutrient mixed water with distilled and she got it after only just sprouting. Gone bit droopey but may recover. I flushed it and re potted her. If she dies its not too much of an issue. There approx 2 inches from the CFL's.

Im running a 24/0 light schedule but thinking of turning it down to 20/4. Suggestions?
Temps are a steady 75F with fans on, 80/83F with fans off. Humidity around 45/50%. Does this need to come up? If so suggestions how?

I will try and get pictures on so can get your opinions. I will post a picture of my PC case to give you an idea (the plants in it are cabbages so ignore them haha). Got one seed left in storage also had a free femenised LA Woman with my order from DNA so may try that at some point.

Any advice?
Is that enough Wattage for just the one plant? I only want to grow enough for me really so dont want some huge system and its a PC case so not going to fit much more in it!

I dont think I missed anything but never know!
Look forward to hearing what people think! bongsmilie

One quick suggestion.....wrap some paper or something around the outside of that clear pot, because roots don't like light. Tinfoil would probably be the easiest way, that's what i would use.(no, it won't cause any hotspots when it's wrapped around a pot). :)

Cheers man. So think my lights will be sufficent for the whole cycle? I have done like 3 weeks of research but at some point had to just try it and see if it works aye. Always will be trial and error. I will sort it out the light leaks tommorow then. Bit of a DIY job

Very small. Im only doing the one plant really. 2 max. As there auto i will be vegging and flowering in the same PC case. If you want I can take a picture now? I can take a picture of the main lady then I can take one of the one that I think will die. Up to you?

Alryt buddie, ive dun a very similar grow.
I used the same strain, yet less light, only 1x125w CFL. It worked fine because the pc case is small. I swapped from 6400K to 2700K when the plant got a few inches though and small bud sites started to form. I found in my case using two fans as outtake and just leaving a hole in the front worked better than one intake and one outtake fan. The air was pulled in much faster than a 8cm fan pushed it in...if that makes sense?

You may want to fill the pots up higher to the very bottom of the leaves if thats possible, or as high as u can.

Any questions just ask! =]

LR2 are great, i also grew them in a pc case. you could probs get two in, but mine started to stink so i had to attatch a carbon filter to outtake fan, so id just go for one n see if you CFL's handle the smell!

N yeah pics are always helpfull! The one you claim might die...cannabis is a fighter and wil probs pull thru if you have flushed it, but dont over flush it...too much care can kill =]

Thanks mate,

I was hoping be enough it is 150w combined with the 2 CFL's not 150w each... should of made it more clear. Like you say because the case so small I would of thought be ok. I added more soil today funny enough I am posting pics now so tell me what you think of them.

yeah 150w will be ok, jus keep them as close as possible to leaftops. if its comfortable for you hand its comfortable for your plants! what spectrum r ure lights? 6400k or 2700k ?

So here are some pics!

The first is the main lady. Lets give her a name... any ideas?

Is she doing ok?

Second one is the one I fucked up :)
She may well recover, she has shown good fighting signs when I just took this picture.

Let me know what you all think!
(p.s. cant find my decent camera had to use my crappy iPhone camera)

Haha I like the way you think, Alice it is then! It is official. Alice has been about.. 7days from sprout? and Alexandra? (the horrible small one) only sprouted about day and half ago under my LED's.

If Alexandra dies I will germinate my last Easy Ryder Fem seed. But I think she may pull through, she is a fighter!

Again, I'm newbie as well. I'm using 125 Watt, 6500K. Grow space is less than 2 square feet (pretty cheap set-up as well). I'd stick with what you have. I haven't verified what I've read about the 4100k.
Yeah I think I will just see if they grow if not put it down as a learning curve and go from there and make adjustments where needed. I know im not going to be perfect first time but had to give it a go!

well...6400K is better for vegative growth, 2700K better for flower, but because youre autoflowering 2700K from the start would probably be best. Find out what yours are (you should be able to tell by looking at the actuall light given off...blueish = 6400K redd/warm = 2700k) if you have 6400K i wouldnt worry...they will still flower fine. Maybe even stay shorter for you.

btw...u mentioned lighting times. i always found 24/0 produced shorter..denser nodes. which will be best for you. but 18/6 or 20/4 will be fine. no need in going lower tho as u dont need to force flower.
